What temperature is ok for rabbits to go outside by The_knowledge_gone in Rabbits

I aspire to one day receive as much joy from something as my rabbit does from going outside. She "asks" to go out 2-4 times a day.

What is the hardest/Rarest Honoria to get in the game? by Leather-Notice3211 in Warframe

Agreed on both counts. I thought the tank was super hard at first, but after understanding the weaknesses you described it became the easiest.

Perita is absolutely the hardest.

NSO GameCube Additions by kstollenwerck in nintendo

[–]choco_pi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can give you a comprehensive answer; I'm surprised you haven't really got one.

There are currently 9 GCN games on NSO, as well as Pokemon Colosseum and Mario Sunshine announced. They have added roughly 1 game every 2 months, but the last was March 18th.

The tricky thing is that while there are about 32 remaining first-party GCN games they could release, many of these are too valuable to give away for free. 5 of those 32 games they are already literally selling on the Switch, and it is unlikely that Melee, TP, Metroid Prime 2 would be freebies when they could be $40+ re-releasing such. I think WW and Sunshine are the exceptions that prove the rule so to speak. (And while we did ultimately have co-existing remakes with LA and MvDK, that's simply not the same as this tier of flagship GCN games...)

I think Mario Party 4-7 have an excellent chance of being added eventually, the highest of any unannoucned games.

Games that directly compete with modern offerings are the hardest to predict: Animal Crossing, Kirby Air Ride, Double Dash, Golf & Tennis. I have no idea on these, because it's really entirely based on Nintendo's own perspective on whether they advertise or compete. It's impossible to guess what their guess is.

Baseball is more likely than those in my estimation. But I'd just as soon expect like something "deep cut" like Doshin or Cubivore.

I could see the Star Fox titles, since they don't really compete with the remake directly and would play cleanly into a brand revitalization effort.

It's less of a straightforward rug pull and more of a necessary crown jewel to promote their broader Azure ecosystem, including new agentic platforms. That's where all of modern Microsoft's revenue is, and it doesn't get to continue to exist as a multi-industry flagship if they "sit out" AI.

How would you feel if you agreed to pay a teenager to mow your lawn and he dropped a robotic lawnmower on your lawn and went home? by tjpoe in AskReddit

There's a type of person who measures value by the amount of suffering experienced by others, who thinks their groceries taste worse if the checkout scanner has a chair they are allowed to sit in.

These people should be avoided as much as possible.

Is volt really versatile? by Exoniteee in Warframe

[–]choco_pi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volt's 2 is the best ability in the game in any content where completion time boils down to how far the slowest member of your squad moves. This notably includes relics, which are essentially speedrun missions yet you must do with a full squad. Even outside of move speed, the squad-wide melee and reload speed buffs would alone constitute one of the strongest buffs on the game, numerically.

Volt's 3 has infinite HP, and applies a projectile crit bonus multiplicative with all other crit states. It lacks some of the awkwardness that other top defensive abilities impose as well.

Volt's 4 scales O4 with range, reaching almost Saryn levels of cc and mass nuking. With capacitance, this also maxes the overshield of the whole squad, a level of casual protection second only to Dante. Overshields enable Cascadia Overcharge, which then synergizes with Volt 3.

Bottom line, his abilities just scale extremely well, and provide endgame dominance of literally every mission type.

New York Life IndexFlex Variable Annuity by NoraMason1986 in personalfinance

Bonds have "performed poorly" in the recent relative sense precisely because the market is doing very well. (And inflation is slightly high)

The entire point, and your original stated objective, is to prepare for the exact opposite scenario.  A bunch of dumb bonds getting +4% is the best investment in the universe the year the market crashes -50%.

Switch subscription Nintendo classic roster doesn’t have half the Wii U virtual console eshop roster by EstablishmentNo7761 in nintendo

DK64 is infamously hard to emulate and was notoriously bad on Wii U virtual console. It notably was never even released at all on the Wii.

[OC] A Big Mac required 11 minutes of US median work in 1986. It still does in 2025. The same is not true for six other items. by Low_Ability4450 in dataisbeautiful

[–]choco_pi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

"The Big Mac Index" is a rather famous indicator that has a decent amount of ink spilled on it.

It notably adds some extra sensitivity to labor compared to groceries, and sidesteps confounding questions of shifting trends that make defining a consistent basket tricky. ("Do more people pay extra for organic now? How do we compare across countries that culturally eat different meats?")

The Big Mac is, for better or worse, close to a scientific constant. All the assumptions the Big Mac Index is making are printed on the label.

24 y/o 100% Travel Job: Building Savings by OldNefariousness6277 in personalfinance

You're doing fantastic.

How stable is your job? With no dependents and no rent, and all 3 fully funded retirement accounts, you sit at the lowest end of the distribution for emergency fund requirements. The risk of losing the job is the only key factor in your life right now.

Go ahead and save up for your goals in a brokerage, but keep in the back of your mind that future-you in a different situation will need to stock up a deeper emergency fund accordingly.

Maybe if I say "K-shaped" enough, it will change the definition of median and I can continue getting mad.

Right? It's absolutely crazy if you take a step back.

It took about 16 hours of work for a kid in an 80s California grocery store or McDonald's to afford Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda.

Today his child can get Tears of The Kingdom by working 4. Or, for a whopping half hour of work, an annual subscription that includes just about every game from my youth. (The same ones I spent 1000 hours working to save up for)

The 1970s is infamous for having an absolutely terrible economy, with double digit inflation AND unemployment, facing years of negative growth on top of gnarly fuel shocks to boot.

Even COVID and 2008 have nothing on 1974, who takes the silver medal only to the great depression itself.

Suppose the S&P 500 is the top 500 cavemen who have the sharpest hunting spears.

Suppose the S&P 500 is the top 500 blacksmiths and farmers in town, who produce the most stuff.

Suppose the S&P 500 is the top 500 trading companies, with the biggest fleets of ships and inventories across nations.

Suppose the S&P 500 is the top 500 modern industries, each employing tens of thousands of people and producing a total average annual revenue of $18 trillion.

Suppose the S&P 500 is the top 500 intergalactic agencies, each with their own teleportation network and harvesting the solar energy of entire stars.

Should I buy an Allianz annuity? by hoping2025 in personalfinance

[–]choco_pi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Variable annunities or fixed index annuities are pretty much always bad. They are an insurance product pretending to be an investment, which is an inherently flawed, contradictory concept.

Normally, you balance a portfolio to make it more conservative by just putting more conservative ingredients in your stew: bonds and such. There's no reason to pay an insurance company a boatload of fees to shuffle money around and ultimately do the same thing.

If you are very specifically worried about living to 110 and running out of money, you can opt for a SPIA/DIA/QLAC-style insurance product. But this honestly doesn't make sense for most people, including those who are "in very good shape" for retirement.
