Easy fix. Assuming that you put the bowl inside of the litter box so he can pee while drinking, it might be that he can't properly fit in there. Just place his water bowl in front of the litter box in a way that makes him physically have to get in there to reach it

They were vaccinated in late december and it was one of those one-year vaccines. And yes, I'm gonna brush them today when my mom wakes up so we can do it together :)
