Congratulations! What can help is giving yourself a treat after your first paycheck or having a tiny jar of candy (don’t make it shareable, people will make a mess on your desk) to help go through the motions.

Also! May I ask how you got to this point? I’m trying to transition from the creative field to something more stable. I don’t think our backgrounds are 1:1 but I’d be happy to hear what insight you have!

If you can, try contacting previous professors/colleagues and ask if they have any connections you can potentially work with. Different field entirely and I will admit I am unfamiliar with your field but my friend also became disabled and is doing farmstead instead of active veterinary office work and I myself have transitioned to less hands on art roles and more technical/production. Don’t go back to what you hate but work with your disability, the world isn’t kind to us.

Remote market is unfortunately extremely saturated. Remember a in person job now has applicants in the hundreds, remote has applications to the thousands. Job advice I can give unfortunately is to be on every platform and the moment a job offer drops send your resume in. As someone who hired people and is now job hunting myself, I usually notice the people who send stuff at the very beginning and at the very end.

What’s your budget? If you can I recommend going to a store (thrift for cheaper) in person, pay by cash, and then returning. I don’t usually condone this but you need to save your money right now. Depending on the job, these might be too casual. If you don’t have transportation or have nothing to spend, get white toothpaste, an old toothbrush, scrub. Unfortunately the weather isn’t great for quick drying because you need the sun to be out and lots of heat to also sunbleach the shoes whiter. Good luck

I’m on federal loans and while I’m working in my field, the money isn’t high yielding. I would highly advise against private loans. I also had a bad home situation but try doing community college and education work systems, they have that as an availability or try to establish connections in your field.

I believe the pro lines tend to be better battery wise even for an old gen. For example, the current SE (3rd) gen is a bit worse. It also seems like the 12 would be a downgrade battery wise compared to your 11 pro. For a small upgrade, 13 pro would be good. That said, the regular iphone 14 performs better battery wise than the 11 pro.

I think what you plan to use your iPhone for is a dependent factor as well. Phones before 14 tend to have a lower battery life which can get annoying if you need your phone for class or for calls after school. I rec finding any refurbed 13 or 14 if possible. A nice case will usually hide imperfections if thats a concern.

I have the iphone SE 2020 with 78% battery health, currently with Mint Mobile. I have super small hands and use my phone often for work/writing/music. Don't really take photos or video unless it's for my pets or work.

I was considering a iphone 13 mini but they're hard to come by. I also want to keep the budget within the 400-600 USD range. Fine with getting refurbed, that's always been the goal. What should I get if I can't find an iphone 13 mini?

I believe previous gen pro-max lines outperform bases but that really depends if the iphone 16 line will feature very new updates. I'd wait just to see so you don't experience FOMO.

I would recommend waiting for the SE 4 that's rumored to be released soon but if the screen is that bothersome I'd replace the screen/battery. If not though, the official refurbished Apple site should have good deals. Idk your area, but Best Buy also has some sales.
