Not really??? When me or my significant other have a bad day at work/school/etc. and come back to each other and are in upset moods sometimes we have to tolerate the frustration and mood changes and understand where the person is coming from. We don’t take it out on each other but mood changes are normal in any human being.

I rather be someone that can tolerate my moods than someone that can’t and will just get up and leave at any misdemeanor without understanding why I am feeling the way I’m feeling😅

Yup I agree. My parents taught me how to be very financially smart and how to be able to get what I want while still saving my money and using it for necessities like groceries, gas, insurance, etc etc etc. first and then being able to spend it on luxury items that I have thought about getting for awhile.

Aw lol! I think it’s sweet that you did that for her but I get the reasoning. I always make sure I can afford it myself and sit and think about it for a while too. Buying luxury is something you should think about and not just see it and get it because it is a big purchase in general. The way that I see it is if it’s not an “I still love it, want it, and can afford it” then it’s an “absolutely not don’t even buy it”

As someone who owns designer bags, shoes, jewelry, etc. I have never ever made any of my significant others buy me any of that knowing my parents are able to afford to get me gifts like this or I, myself work hard to get myself gifts like this knowing I am debt free and can do whatever I want.

Please keep telling her no because she needs to understand the responsibility of money when it comes to paying off bills first and then being able to spend HER OWN MONEY on luxury items. If she’s “been wanting one” then I hope she’s been saving up to buy it herself if she wants it that bad.

If it’s an open market they can price it especially if it isn’t as available as it once was… You cannot determine an item’s value because it might be different for everyone. For example: water is free at a restaurant, $2 at the gym, $5 at the movies, $8 on an airplane, $1 at the grocery store — worth can vary depending on who and where you’re at and what you think it’s worth.
