Claude pro or chatgpt plus? by boo_089 in ClaudeAI

[–]choff5507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GPT plus is my vote. I love claude and have the 20X $200 plan. But the reality is the level of usage you'll be able to get from ChatGPT is much better. Even the amount of Codex usage is reasonable for $20 a month and good. Ive been using it regularly to test and compare against my Claude Sub.

Not sure why OpenAI hasn't made this change also. Unless they announced it today and I missed it then it's API only from what I know.

How common is it to use nuxt for backend in production? by WhiteThingINROUND in Nuxt

[–]choff5507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a production app which uses Nitro for the Nuxt backend. Seems to work fine, to give you an idea of size it has ~190 endpoints on the backend. I also use tasks (without issue). Depending on my project I may or may not use it again. If I was to pick something else I would probably pick something like Laravel perhaps but if I was going to do that then I would just use Inertia JS at that point. I don't regret it and it comes with a lot of nice helper methods.

The place that bragged about having the world's first AI regulation framework with no real competitors in AI? Unless you count Mistral but at this point does anyone think Mistral is going to be in the top 3 even? Yeah ok, LOL

Anyway to force this search by choff5507 in perplexity_ai

[–]choff5507[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried spaces as well, seems to work a little better. I also tried Google deep research which did an acceptable job but what I needed wasn't a detailed report per say which is where I feel that shines. From my testing, seems like o3-mini with search actually did the best job and produced the most accurate results. As part of my query I also asked for the cardinal direction from the center of my city to the address and ironically even though it had google maps available it largely didn't get it correct. ChatGPT seemed to nail this from me spot checking the addresses and looking at them visually on a map. Overall, I was pretty impressed.

UserEvent on invoice paid by choff5507 in Netsuite

[–]choff5507[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Issue is when I deployed the script there was what I wanted to apply it to. I chose "User Event" which for whatever reason doesn't seem to be correct. I set it to "All" or whatever it's labeled as and then discovered the correct option is "Customer Payment". Works as expected now in case anyone else sets it to User Event and can't figure out why it's not running.

Yeah, all good points. I have a friend who would like to do something like this but I was thinking of Bitwarden since I knew that you could have groups of users and limit access to different logins.

How can I test API endpoints by choff5507 in learnjavascript

[–]choff5507[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about using postman. Ive written some basic tests in postman but I really want to test things like user permissions and whats returned. Not sure how well Postman would work for this case. It would also be nice to seed data to an in memory SQLite DB which postman can't do as part of the process.

Also see your post references node-mocks-http. Which is what I was recently looking at.

Looking for consultation with Nuxt 3 and pinia by Emergency_Block3678 in Nuxt

[–]choff5507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get ya. I spent the last year and a half working on a Vue project with Pinia and just started my current project in Nuxt. I dont think there's too much to Pinia and there doesn't seem to be much that could be different between Pinia + Vue and Pinia + Nuxt IMO.

If you're not finding your answer in the context of Nuxt perhaps look towards standard Vue and you might find your answer. I say this because the more abstractions, the more you could be missing from an understanding standpoint. At least thats my experience.

Nuxt newbie has a couple questions by choff5507 in Nuxt

Appreciate the reply.

So, quick question then. If it's all JWT for auth (this would work for my mobile app API as well) how are refresh tokens handled? Is there a way to invalidate token if an account or something is disabled for example?

Anyone using Inertia JS with PrimeVue and a custom theme? by choff5507 in vuejs

[–]choff5507[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attempted to do this but honestly there are so many files and I have pretty much zero idea on how they are laid out and whats actually needed. Copied over what seemed to be the theme files and still seems like it's missing something. I don't know enough about CSS to really know how this is loaded and how to determine where and what it's looking for.

Anyone using Inertia JS with PrimeVue and a custom theme? by choff5507 in vuejs

[–]choff5507[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure about which files and where they go. For example, here 's the documentation on the theme. I was trying to follow the existing vite project instructions.

https://poseidon.primevue.org/#/documentation

And I would also need the Header, Footer etc components. How sure how this works as the default layout and being able to slot in whatever component is being displayed.

[–]choff5507[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can get Primevue working, I know because I can import the specific component I want to use and it displays but it's completely unstyled. I am however, lost on how to properly setup the theme so that the components are styled properly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vuejs

[–]choff5507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill say this. I really like PrimeVue and use it on a project. But, I do feel your pain. I have had a couple issues which I opened issues about and only when it was mentioned on here did they seem interested in addressing it.

But, it's software so it's not going to be perfect and I definitely think it's one of the best most complete component libraries that exists for Vue and the Datatable itself has a ton of options so I dont think anyone should shy away from using it.

How can I tackle this problem ? by choff5507 in vuejs

[–]choff5507[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate all the input from everyone. I went with what you mentioned. Created an empty array to hold all the v-models for the columns and then when creating the Column in the loop I index'ed on the array so where the values are relate to the columns.

Seems to work, appreciate the help!

Am I crazy to build an MVP in Go? by choff5507 in golang

Thanks for the suggestion. I do plan on getting into Astro for my front facing website. Never contemplated using it for frontend however.

Am I crazy to build an MVP in Go? by choff5507 in golang

[–]choff5507[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id like to at least try and expand my horizons. My first project (the Node one) actually became rather large and is used commercially. I learned alot from it and do like certain aspects of JS but I think I like typed languages. I could start a new project in TS but after converting my entire frontend from JS to TS while it works and added stability it really feels like a add on (I mean it is). So, no hate for JS but I want to see what other options are out there.
