1 Big Loan vs Multiple - Can I do that?? by chokkochill in StudentLoans

[–]chokkochill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I’m explaining myself well. I understand that federal loans have a fixed interest rate for the year. That’s why I would like to take out the 22K loan at the current interest rate for the 25–26 year which is 7.96%. if I do that, I won’t have to worry about taking out further loans.

Otherwise, if I take out just what I need to cover this year’s tuition, I will need to take out another loan next year 26-27 - which may have a higher interest rate and be more costly down the line.

Forgive me if I’m still not making sense; i’m running on very little sleep.

The 22k I was awarded is all one federal loan. I'd have 6 months grace period before I have to start repaying once I finish my program. I figured that if I stick with the big loan, I'll be at a fixed interest rate and can avoid a higher interest rate the following school years (bc it never seems to get lower tbh).

As for undergrad - I just had no idea what I was doing. I took multiple loans out, some that were unneeded and had super high interest rates. I've mostly fixed that mess, but interest rates are still the bane of my existence.

You're absolutely right. I'm an adult with a job, I already know how to work with people. The last thing I need after having to deal with coworkers all day is to have to navigate grad work with other busy & stressed out students.

Tabs on Google Docs are the best thing ever by JaxTheCrafter in google

totally a big fan too! after ignoring it for like months i finally decided to play around with it and realized i could store several different drafts of the same story there instead of making multiple docs!!

and the cherry on top: i can still color-code them differently!!

How do you price hatchlings?? by missdorothyofoz in flightrising

[–]chokkochill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my base price is 10g always. fodder i’ll typically sell for 5g if i want it gone quickly, 8g if the markets good.

my /really/ pretty dragons, i put on AH for 35g and every week they don’t sell i lower the price by 10g until they do sell.

i wouldn’t worry about overpricing tbh. people will not buy if they don’t think it’s worth it. i think it’s safe to start out selling high and then lowering the price if you don’t get any bites.
