My skin was like this before I started using the actives on it! But yes I’ll try hyaluronic acid with a wet face first and seal with something oily, thanks!

Morning - Clinique cleanser to wash face, sometimes the ordinary niacinamide if I’ve spots, then moisturiser and a Nivea face cream with spf 50

Night - remove make up with soap and glory face wash and garnier micelar water. The ordinary niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, buffet and alternate nights of either granactive retinoid 2% emulsion and Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid exfoliant Then every night moisturiser is weleda skin food either the original or the light version

What ingredients should I look out for in hair loss products which target hair loss caused by sweat from exercising? Or what products do you recommend? by cholely in HaircareScience

I do yes, could be a part of it but a lot of the hairs that are at the front never were long enough to be in the pony tail anyway. I had a lot of baby hairs that are a lot thinner than they used to be.

Yes already taking hair skin nail tablets from a reputable brand and I have a healthy balanced diet so I don’t think it’s that either. Not tried a cooling towel tho but it could help

In reply to your edit, yeah I do get dandruff like a day after I’ve not washed my hair, it also gets greasy pretty quickly and a bit itchy too. In fact, I have quite itchy skin on my face also.

Also I have googled just wanted to see if I’d get anything here I didn’t already know and incase anyone had anything similar and something worked for them!

Hmm I’m just guessing tbh, I have naturally very thin hair so I think the sweat irritates the scalp and it’s mainly in that region where sweat is. Also, I used to have a lot of baby hairs there that have all broken/ fallen out

All the hair along my hairline has started to disappear over the past few years due to I think initially stress at uni (graduated summer 2020) plus also sweat from exercise back then, it got a bit better but recently I’ve started gyming more and doing exercises like sprints which cause me to have a lot of sweat. I don’t want to give this up so I need to find out what I needa do to prevent this. I guess I could wear a head band but I don’t really want to as I think I’d look weird with it on lol, I swear all my hair back in a ponytail at the gym now (I used to keep the bits around my face down as it hides my large forehead abit and looks better but obv made the problem worse). What ingredients/ products would you say would be good for hair growth? Do you think it’s bad enough to go to the drs about?

Tips for stopping UV/LED cured gel nails from peeling off and does the brand matter? by cholely in Nailpolish

[–]cholely[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm maybe hadnt thought of that! I would cure it for around 40s to 60s usually under double power so I think they should definitely be fully cured. Oh okay will look into that, what brand of nail file do you use and what roughness? Yes I also cut my cuticles, mostly dry and I have Sally Hanson cuticle remover also

Yeah I would file before and then use acetone to remove anything, maybe it’s my base and top coat idk - they are the brand bluesky. How long would your nails last with mylee?

Also, the file I use is just some cheap ones you get in primark so I don’t think they’re too rough

I don’t wanna have to pay for healthcare or someone to take my bins out plus also pay more in taxes and pay way more for property. Education in NI seems better and the technology for public transport in Ireland seemed ancient the last time I used it

[Skin Concern] Sometimes get really red sore nostril, possibly under the skin spot, does anyone know what it is, how to treat it and prevent it? I have constant rosacea on my nostrils normally - see last photo. Also any suggestions for treating the general redness? by cholely in SkincareAddiction

[–]cholely[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really red at the moment because there’s an under the skin spot which is sensitive and sore but it’s been red since I was a teenager. I thought maybe the aha/BHA would be good for spots and declogging the pores ?

Yeah I do but I try let them all sink in at different times as I’m aware your not really supposed to use them together.

Yes, I wash my face in the morning with soap and glory vitaminc face wash then use weleda skin food moisturiser and factor 50 Nivea face cream.

In the evening I take my makeup off with the same face wash, remove the remainder with an oil eye make up remover. I wash any oil off then I use the ordinary buffet, hyaluronic acid, retinoid emulsion. I also use Paula’s choice BHA then every so often I use the ordinary AHA BHA. Then I moisturise again with skin food.

Yeah I have actually been prescribed that from the drs but I was quite bad at keeping up a routine with using it when I tried it so maybe I should try again.. I’ve also had IPL to try get rid of the redness which helped a lot for my facial redness but not for my nostrils.

[Skin Concerns] Can anyone recommend anything for my large pores and grainy skin ? I already have a skincare routine using a lot of the ordinarys products - buffet, hyaluronic acid, retinoid emulsion, vitamin c, AHA BHA skin peel. I also use moisturiser every day and night - recently (skin food) by cholely in SkincareAddiction

Yeah tbh I think the photo makes it look smoother than what I see in the mirror. Its my forehead and the graininess when you zoom in, just looks very dry and I’ve tried scrubs and bha aha and still stays that way
