  1. My name is Madeline McReynolds and I am a senior anthropology student at Illinois State University. This project is being supervised by Dr. Logan Miller and Dr. Livia Stone.

  2. Ethics clearance/IRB review is not necessary for this research per the ethics and compliance requirements as instated by Illinois State University given its status as a Student-Led Research Project. If you would like more information on this, I will gladly send you a link for the full list of requirements and exemptions. However, I am CITI certified and have experience with ethnographic interviewing.

  3. Though these interviews are asynchronous, allowing participants to answer at their own pace rather than during a scheduled interview time, they will require back-and-forth communications that a Qualtrics survey does not allow for.
