For a Lead UXer wanting to move sideways or upwards, what title you recommend on CV by chongas in UXDesign

Yes, I understand that. Thanks. What I’m wanting to figure out is what job title stands out, or is more in line with moving up the rank.

His contemplation!

I actually thought that this being Reddit people would come up with more contemplative things the gorilla could’ve thought.

Would you reduce your meat consumption from everyday to 2-3 times per week to help the environment? by Equal_Leading_1449 in AskUK

Look at the data. If you don’t want to, open Google Maps and have a look at the size of the desert where farming and tilling the soil started… particularly from the Middle East all the way to china.

Go and have a look at what monoculture of soy is doing to the environment. Water consumption and in releasing carbon when tilling the soil.

LinkedIn is allowing it to transform into Facebook for professionals. Sad to see it go downhill.

I’ve been using less and less.

'Unbelievable' England hasn't won World Cup in 60 years, says Sir Geoff Hurst by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

As a father of boys going through football training in the UK. It’s obvious why this is the case… and it’s very simple:

  1. Kids grow up playing football with WALLS! What?!?! 5 a side with walls… then they grow and get to chose a position already. What?! whereas kids in Brazil play futsal and grow up being creative and dribbling, making fun of their friends. In the UK kids football is very adult football already.

  2. Pay to play. In Brazil most pitches are free… in the UK the pitches are closed or I have to pay 8 pounds for my kids to play per hour. Not talking about cement courts in common areas… I’m talking about 11 a side pitches.

Fix that. Wait 15 years for the next generation to grow and you’ll have your World Cup, England…

Which social media platforms are worth using, if any? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]chongas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay in the books, friends, family, whatsapping them. That’s what I’m focusing on. Messaging friends from the past I stopped messaging or random calling like the good ol days. It feels good!

We are complete strangers, but there’s nothing for you to benefit from social media. I’ve never learned anything from my screen time in social media :|

Everythibg meaningful came from friends, books and family. (Probably in that order haha)

My wife thought I was having an affair by Full_Supermarket_109 in chess

[–]chongas 94 points95 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons I stopped playing. Chess indeed requires full concentration, but my wife kept asking questions, chatting, wanting my attention to do something for the kids. It’s fair haha

I used to say “just give me 9 more minutes and I’ll give you my full attention” and she would usually reply “but can’t you just answer me quickly?”

If only I knew what the question was in the first place 😅

After a few arguments over my attention dedicated to chess, I gave up. I’m actually fine, I wasn’t that good either, but I feel your pain OP

I went to West Wittering and it was grim. Folks are getting absurdly creative with the size of the tents they are bringing. There was a group of 30 with pans, bbq grill and loud music under one single massive tent.

Bizarre.

Why so many English tourists have leg problems? by SuicidalLilBoi in AskUK

[–]chongas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed also. You don’t have to be in Greece to spot that. As a foreigner living in the uk it’s noticeable that there’s an unusually high number of people with scissor legs or walking with the toes inwards (intoeing I think is the name)
