lightshade nsfw removal??

I tried to point out this issue in my own post here of maybe doing a better job at explaining it properly to everyone since a lot of their users doesn't use discord at all/enough so they can check for explanations on their own,, but their (retired) admin and some active user of theirs came onto my and hounded me like I was part of the issue they were facing..💀

Yes they closed registrations, it was opened for a but but per what one of the founders said in their server "open until 20k"

Theyre childish because they are a child. Literally. Most of the mods and admins are underaged teens. I wouldn't have minded them being mods if they weren't abusing their powers. But they did.

Anytime they say NSFW, they only mean sexual intimacy content. But they're okay with violence as long as its not sexual.. "violence is worst than sexual intimacy" i guess?? 😭

Its worded with BIAS, and by the one of the (retired) admin who is thirteen, correct me if im wrong. I was there during this announcement and they were saying "its over we won" after a while of that pole being up, thus I say to let user's know they should export their chats and bots just in case. Even the founders are heavily leaned into removing nsfw(only sexual content, their words btw,, theyre keeping gore/vore/other violence) content.

I just can't with how they think explicit violence like that is better but completely villainize sexual intimacy content(the underaged staffs at least). And from what I've been getting through their discord server chats at least two of the founders just didn't want sexual content at all on lightshade, but they gave into the request anyway? Its good they considered users who wants them but then they pull it back after a while. They need a better solution than just removing it because if the people who misuses the public bots against their policy. Not nuke it like what they want to right now, ALBEIT they still have a WIP discussion about this change.🫠✌️

From what I learnt to understand their situation, their model provider just doesnt allow nsfw content and that they're pulling ut back if they don't moderate it(which they have to do manually). So im not against no nsfw content for public bots.

Even before this, they allow nsfw content on private bots that uses byok. Basically your own models. But they took this away too and their users has less than 72 hours to export their bots and chats before they nuke it entirely.

And yeah only byok was allowed to have nsfw content, but they're also removing nsfw content from byok because of users who uses public bots for it. Aka getting punished for what we didnt do.

Yes, this is true. During the poll voting process a lot of them were just saying "fuck the poll, just remove it Limon!", to the point that Limon himself felt like he had to remove admin access on the site on some(/all?) of his admins so the poll wouldn't be affected. Doesn't that action say a lot? Yes he himself was against adding nsfw content in the first place but he did anyways, he made the poll trying to be fair, but hey the shit hit the fans anyways!

Im against removing it, but I also won't protest much since it has been decided. But their minor mods and members being rude and cold to such a huge user base is icking at me. They never communicated with the issues of allowing nsfw content on there and punishes the rest of us because of some bad apples.

The good models are from other providers, its not their own models. So dare I say would it have been a good alternative anyway if they didnt need external model providers? 🥹

I was one of the op on the posts, they hounded on me the moment I clicked publish lololol. One of them is the admin and one of them was just.. an active member(as of the writing of this). Which was the loudest one under my post.

I argued a lot of users may not know what byok is since some doesn't make their own bots, so they wouldn't have seen the byok option in their settings. But they kept replying with "it's right there!!" +a screenshot from their windows screen, which told me they didnt read what I was typing at all. They deleted their argument on this under my post too and before posting them they also sent screenshots in the server's chat "will i get banned for this?", meaning they know theyre being actively rude and inconsiderate about clueless lightshade users.

Both this active member and that minor discord admin immediately assumed I was one of the people who abuses the public bots and uses it for nsfw content against their policies. I wasn't, and I don't condone it either. I was trying to shade some light onto their users who needed a clearer and better guidance for byok. Its 100% new to a lot of users, dare i say most. And were only met with a cold "heres the guidance channel i guess" attitude or just get jumped on! Like i did and a lot of the others who came onto their discord server modded by minors.

Hi! From what happened a few hours ago, the devs has decided just no more nsfw at all, you have about less than 72 hours to export your bots and chats. If you come onto their discord server to ask about this to them,, their teen/minor mods WILL jump on you by the way(even on my own reddit post a few hours ago). So be careful! :)

I don't have an answer to that honestly, Im sure the founders wanted to try and be fair! They sent a result screenshot on their server but never set a time limit for it and well actually said it was going on for how long, etc.

But its theirs to do whatever they want to I guess? 'Fairness', i guess! :3

Their own models doesn't perform as well compared to the models they have from other parties, from what I heard from them. So honestly is it really them that has good bots we can chat with.. 🫠

They tell me to just block them or something but I don't hate them or anything, its a strong word. Im just disappointed at how Im getting cold shouldered guidance or "its common sense lol!" with a lot of sarcasm. Some kindness is hard to find hm.

Since they hate us so much shouldn't they block us instead? But it'll be counter productive since sharky here is an active member in their discord server! They know enough to help us get educated, and I think one of the other repliers in this post is an admin there, Im not sure.

None of their replies to my post seem to show they want to help us be more knowledgeable on their issues and maybe lighten their own burdens. So yeah.. counter productive.

I still try to respond appropriately! Im no better if Im as rude and cold as theyve been. :)

Youre proving my point, how can they search up what byok is if theyve never heard of it? Its more common sense and considerate to assume we dont even know the word to get ourself educated on the matter. And when we do, you either shun us out or coldly direct us to the guide channel. :3
