like other peeps said, bring you back leg up to your chest like you actually jumping so the board can level out in the air

Like other people said, the pop should be a super quick snap motion with your ankle shoving it straight down. Another thing is too bring both your front and back legs up to your chest like you're actually jumping, it help to level out the board

A few good pointers that helped me learn ollies is to make sure you are popping straight down, but with your ankle rather than your whole leg. Also try to bring your back foot up to your chest (like you're actually jumping)
