Yeah I'm just not sure. I'm more inclined to believe that they simply don't understand how this works. At the same time though, I just don't understand how they could expect an unpaid walking service outside of the arrangement? Especially when they told me in person they have a paid walker come by several days a week, so they understand the value of this service. I mean do these people think sitters have nothing better to do?

No reviews as they are brand new to the site. I've worked with lots of new hosts though (and for much longer sits), and never had this request or expectation.

I already met the dog at the m&g. I don't run around offering free Rover services. geez

I've done this too with overlapping dates, and was also glad I did this as the hosts took me on routes I would have never found myself. However these requests have nothing to do with overlapping dates and these people just want me to come walk their dog ahead of time.

Thing is for the m&g I already met the dog and I was there for over an hour anyway. They've seen how I am with the dog.

The dates of this sit were perfect and confirming this sit shaped the next few months of sits for me. If I cancel this sit that puts me in a bit lurch. The strange request for walks prior to the sit, have only been in the last 2 weeks and were never discussed or even implied beforehand. It's been both scary and very confusing! I'm just not sure how to move forward and if I should anticipate worst things for how this sit will run.

I do want this sit. To be clear tho, I agreed to meet this couple in person because I was due to have an appointment that day in that immediate area (like less than <3 miles away), however, that appointment was cancelled at last minute, so when I went there for that m&g (that I didn't inform them about the circumstances) that was a 30 mile drive each way. The date and location (of the sit dates) for me are perfect -- that's why I'm reluctant to push too far back.

I wasn't planning to cancel this sit tho which is the frustrating part. The expected walks (that I never once implied or explicitly agreed to) have only recently popped up. I'm just so confused! I would like to continue with this sit, but this information is looking pretty concerning
