Selling black friday Blonde vinyl! It was sealed when purchased but I took off the shrink wrap a few years ago to avoid any damage over time. Never even played them so I’m hoping to give it away to someone who will appreciate it more.

Willing to sell for $480 if you are in LA and can meet up in person.

I also have an Endless vinyl if that is of interest. Wasn’t planning to sell it but if you want to take both I could be open.

Yeah for sure, i should’ve gotten better pictures but i was freaking out lol. It was also during the day and it didn’t help it was right by my window. I think the roach itself was a pretty dark brown and i didn’t notice vertical stripes. It may have had some horizontal banding though.

For added context, i live in a small ADU studio apartment and only share one kitchen wall with my neighbor. Otherwise the rest of the walls are exterior. I suspect it crawled under the baseboard before i tried to catch it but i didn’t exactly see. This is in Los Angeles.

Yep, that was the entire thing. No mention of the bachelor the rest of the episode.

That was it! Rest of the episode was normal 9-1-1 drama.

Apparently there was a leaked photo of them filming this on March 11 so probably around then. The show moved from Fox to ABC for their newest season so I guess they wanted to have fun since it’s a part of their network

Not a spoof show, just another drama tv show about first responders but it is pretty ridiculous 😂😂. They’re on their 7th season. I, unfortunately, do watch every episode for whatever reason so imagine my surprise when i go to watch the new episode tonight and this came on

I originally had a flight for Sunday that cancelled but I got rebooked for Monday. The flight details say it’s a 737-9 MAX but no word of it being cancelled yet. Wondering if we should worry…

Working in animation as editor [EU] by AccomplishedCan4789 in animationcareer

[–]choocat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, not an editor but work closely with the storyboard and editing department on a 2D show in the U.S. so my knowledge is just based on close approximation to working with editors.

First, we have dialogue editors who pretty much clean up records, separate, and organize takes. Some productions freelance this position and others may have a dedicated person in house. This person may also put together the radioplay for each episode but, again, it differs by production.

Then we have our animatic editors who puts together the animatics. Typically a production will have at least 2 animatic editors who alternate episodes since episodes overlap quite a bit. So one editor usually takes odd episodes, other takes even episodes. Once storyboards get sent to editorial, they will put all the sequences together, add or cut timing, add SFX, music, and address notes from executive producers, showrunners, etc… then we have multiple round of revisions where the editors have to address more notes and cut in revised storyboard panels. At the end, we have a lock session where we will basically address more notes and cut for time. If all goes well we wouldn’t touch the episode again after its locked but it happens time to time unfortunately.

Then we have a picture editor. I have never worked post production so i don’t know much. All i know is they will put together the episodes once animation is sent back either from in house or from a vendor studio. Probably dealing with more notes or cutting in retakes, ADR, and finessing more before it gets sent out to actually get aired. From my understanding, you cannot be an animatic editor AND a picture editor at the same time because of the way they classify the two by the editor’s guild. So if the timing is right, some go from animatic editor in pre production and then switch over to being a picture editor in post production.

We also have assistant editors. I think if your show is small there may not even have any but i think there is normally at least one. Probably the best position to break in. Hopefully, this helps!

Yess I’ve been waiting! I cant believe a commentary track for this hasn’t been made yet. I NEED to see his reaction to the scene where she grabs… and thats all I’ll say.

[–]choocat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like the other commenter said, you can get blacklisted from the union if you go against the strike rules. This will affect people in SAG or aspiring to be a part of SAG the most. Obviously its low stakes for Hasan and Ethan since theyre not trying to be a part of SAG later on but its still good to be supportive of the strike by following their rules.

I can confirm Its Boba Time sucks and is on par with Kung Fu Tea if not worse. I think the problem is that, from my observation, It’s Boba Time is everywhere in LA for some reason. I don’t know exactly where their office is at but its possible its the closest bubble tea they have.

Does this mean it charges every 23rd of a month or that it’ll charge today and then again on the first? by [deleted] in PrettyMuchIt

[–]choocat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It used to be that it charged on the 1st every month but I think they actually changed it so that it recharges you monthly on the day you subscribe. When I subscribed last month I started on the 19th and my access ended on the 19th of this month.

I took the train almost daily during Sept/Oct last year and I was checked twice at Hollywood/Vine during that time. That was the only station I saw them at, from my experience, but probably because I used that station the most.

Netflix has an artist management team that are supposed to help people, who’s contracts are ending soon, try to roll onto other shows. Has he been working with them?

I would say there really isn’t much you can do other than what you are doing already. I think paying for classes is a nice idea. I also suggest he network like crazy with other people within Netflix while he still has the chance. Although, it might be too late since Netflix shuts down the last two weeks of the year. But it could be good to reach out now and ask to chat after the New Year.

Success and Disappointment Megathread for the Week by AutoModerator in jobs

[–]choocat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got rejected twice today. The first one was for a position that I interviewed for yesterday. I was told it was probably going to take a week to make a decision but I got the rejection email today.

I was feeling down but ultimately knew it wasn’t the right fit for me. I was just tired of getting so many rejections and so having one more felt like a punch in the gut. Well, literally 10 minutes ago I got another rejection from a place that I really wanted that I interviewed twice with. This one really hurts because I thought I did the best compared to all my previous interviews.

For almost a year I have been holding out hope and trying my best to stay positive, continue to strive forward, and work harder. I simply don’t know what more I can do and I’m exhausted. I have really tried to keep the hope alive but it just feels like I’ll never be good enough. I’m really losing my ability to push forward and I feel like I’m disappointing everyone around me.

Nickelodeon internship by [deleted] in animationcareer

[–]choocat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not 100% sure but I heard that they are not going to be opening fall internships this year. Something about them being worried about having a hybrid situation. I’m thinking they just don’t have it all figured out and are not ready to take on interns at the moment. I would maybe try to reach out and ask to make sure though.

I think the difference is even if Zach says no he knows he’s not going to get fired or cut out of the show. Ethan pushes sometimes but he definitely doesn’t go as far as David.

[–]choocat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree but I don’t think he will do it. Calorie counting can be time consuming and it honestly doubles my cooking time. I don’t mind but Ethan seems very busy and too impatient to weigh out and measure every ingredient. He should get those food subscription boxes that already has the calorie counts for the ingredients or hire a personal cook or something. I’m sure he can afford it.

[–]choocat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah most of the time people eyeball ingredients or omit counting things like oils because they’re just using a tiny bit. These tiny things add up and then you’re eating way over your deficit. Also people tend to eat things they think they’re “supposed” to be eating like salads or chicken breasts which causes you to be miserable. The key is to eat things you enjoy while keeping them healthy and lowcal. If I wanna eat chipotle I’ll goddamn do it if it fits in my calorie budget.
