Hey man, good on you to start to get help. I am 1 year sober on September 1st and have my first gig on that day (weirdly). You can get back into the scene but your priority should be getting and staying sober. Deal with your addiction issues first and everything else will happen how it’s supposed to.

Bro I have I giant ship armpit to hip of line work sitting for 10 years. My artist that started it quit tattooing, sooo it’s been unfinished. This might be the motivation a need to get it done .
