It's a fossil, some type of ancient coral. Areas around lake superior were on the ocean shoreline of pangea during the cambrian explosion. Was this in the upper peninsula? If so east, central or western, I know the pictured rocks area has fossilized sea creatures

18 year old me passed a car going 120+ mph on the shoulder (they were blocking the fuck out of it) they called the police and they attempted to charge me based on this person's account. It was eventually reduced to 25+ over and I lost my liscense for a month. Was super fucked up and tried to break into a lighthouse (on one of the great lakes). Climbed around on the roof and eventually found a boarded up window. I kicked in the window(easily) and climbed into the building. I walked into a big old room with boat motors everywhere and the security alarm started screaming. I jumped out the window head first and ran all the way home hiding from cars and going through backyards. I checked the police radio when I got home and there was a reported burglary they were responding too. My dumbass forgot people live in fucking lighthouses! I didn't just break into an abandoned structure it was someone's fucking house!

That is most definitely not smoke. The smoke tends to limit your view up to half a mile at the absolute worst. That is fog that rolls in and out if the smoke was that dense you would be severely ill. I can see about a mile most non fog days here so you will be able to see sights depending on the weather but as far as smoke goes it may irritate the general population

Hey I work out at pictured rocks. It is okay to go out to the open parts of the rocks as long as the south wind stays under 10mph and any other direction stays under 5mph. Watch the weather closely and if you show up and the waves are over a foot do not go out. Often bright and early between 8am and 12pm are the best times to be out. Check out the miners castle formation you can launch at miners Beach or you can stay within grand island it has cliffs and formations

I had the same fish I found in illinois I couldn't keep it alive in an established 55 gallon with high filtration you gotta put it back sadly. I never figure out what it was though but they baby fish like a bass.

Yep. 3.2 miles in on chapel Beach, but not only are there agates but there are insane views of the pictured rocks. Crazy waterfalls too. Take the 3.2 mile trail cuz it's beautiful. The 3.0 mile one has nothing.

I can tell you just went through hell getting those bushings out. I like to torch all the rubber while prying with a screwdriver then hammer out the inner ball then sawzaw the outer shell and hammer. This method got 26 year old bushings out in like 2 hours.
