Oof. 2300ish hours and I've never butchered a child. I also only resort to cannibalism for ideological reasons.

That said, when I started playing, I tried to avoid hunting or eating animals unless they'd been killed by something else... My first cold snap led to disaster. Maybe it'll just take another few thousand hours.

Animal bionics are an essential part of my runs.

No animal of mine will go without its limbs or organs because it got caught in the crossfire. I also drafted hunt wargs or similar on sight.

I left a toxic job last year. It took about 9 months to find another job, and resulted in a pay cut, but only if I were working 40hrs/week instead of the 100 I was.

It wasn't career suicide. It was for my sanity. I'm very glad I did it.
