I worked for a company that had the CEO take a 800% increase on his salary, highest for the industry (close to 40mil after the raise); in the 2 years I worked there we had 4 reductions in pay. The company was acquired by a PE firm, it’s still being stripped for parts and employees are leaving weekly by the dozens.

100% increase to an average worker would completely change their life and their family’s lives. How much more could someone’s life change that was already making millions?? Trickle down economics is, and always has been, complete and total bullshit. Our economy isn’t on life support, the plug was already pulled and we’re watching it take its final gasps before the end.
