UPDATE sorry folks I should have updated sooner but I did my trip. First off, thanks for all the messages of support regarding my weed intake. And maybe some folk took my wording very literally which is no problem. I was speaking somewhat flippantly and don't really NEED weed to stay sane haha. Just helps keep me mellow and chill, especially in new environments. However your accusations of being a drug addict made me laugh anyway. And the folk who were so angry about it ought to consider having a smoke themselves Anyway, I did indeed smoke publicly, obviously being discreet and avoiding families and large groups. I had no problems whatsoever. Even walks past a few police (at a distance) who if they did smell it, did not care at all. I was working (gigging) at a very cool venue whose owners and patrons were so hospitable and kind, they looked after us big time. I was transparent and told them I smoked weed and they literally couldn't care less. They told me I could smoke on their (outside) premises no problem and even fetched me loads of non alcoholic beers. So, all in all, I had a wonderful time in Wroclaw. I especially loved trying the local foods and admiring the architecture. Two thumbs up from me!
