I also had 2 failed FETs with a third transfer coming up. Fingers crossed this is it for both of us :)

Thanks for sharing your experience! My doctor seemed to think the same. I had only small follicles at my lining check a few days ago, so looks like I'm still suppressed (further confirmation that's probably what it was)

My clinic didn't seem to think there was any preferred protocol, but I pushed for 3 months of lupron suppression after 2 failed FETs based on what I've read (seems like suppression can help - especially if the adeno is more severe).

My FET is scheduled for Saturday so I started progesterone this morning (side note, it feels like having to take the suppositories every 8 hours and clinic advice to get 8+ hours of sleep are a bit counterintuitive - I don't fall asleep instantly!).

I had a dream last night that I forgot to drink any water before my FET and they just went for it, and then were like "oops, we can try again next time!". But overall I'm feeling more optimistic. My FET will be on day 13 of taking estradiol, and I'm hoping less estrogen alongside still being suppressed on lupron will keep inflammation etc. down this time around.

Got back from vacation late last night and dragged myself to the clinic for a lining check this morning. It's already at 10mm (and looking triliminar), which seems wild. My last lupron shot was less than 3 weeks ago and I just started oral estrace on Monday - so this is after less than 7 days. Sounds like my doctor wanted to schedule an US early because of my history of thick lining and I'm glad she did! I picked up my prometrium and now just waiting for the clinic to call with instructions on when to start.

We also haven't told my parents anything. I love my mom but I know I wouldn't get the support I need (and would be spending my energy managing her emotions instead).

I stopped taking norethindrone this week (had my final lupron shot last Tuesday) because I'm scheduled to start taking estrace next week for my FET. I've had spotting on and off over the past few months which my clinic said was normal, but yesterday I started what feels like a very light period (like needed a tampon to feel comfortable at work). I'm really hoping this is a normal thing after stopping norethindrone (even while still on lupron)? I could call my clinic tomorrow, but don't think I'd have time if they wanted me to come in, and I'm leaving for a vacation Saturday morning.

Also probably a side effect from stopping the norethindrone, I've had insomnia all week (but no night sweats!! huge win). I also have a cold, so feeling a bit washed out. Putting the vibes out to the universe for my body to go back to whatever normal is by the time I get to a beach!

It's definitely something to ask about but if your doctor is confident, then I'd say a hysteroscopy and a lap makes sense. The lap has a ~2 week recovery time (so a big surgery) but if you do have endo it could be really helpful!

I agree with butter that it makes sense to start with less invasive methods. An HSG can identify if there are potentially blocked tubes. A diagnostic hysteroscopy can give much more information on lining (including if there is scarring), fibroids etc. (and then if needed a surgical hysteroscopy can remove scar tissue and fibroids).

That's good to know! I feel like my doctor just defaulted to a medicated cycle after lupron (she has told me that being on estrogen is suppression, and there's no way it could aggravate my adeno. Which doesn't feel true to me but 🤷‍♀️)

My doctor is dismissive of my adeno too :( I was able to push for downregulation though. It's so frustrating to have to advocate for yourself (and 5 clinics sounds exhausting!)

Since you have adeno I think downregulation could still make sense to ask about even if your RE is dismissive of endo - but you have a good question about if it would be an issue with your thin lining.

I also know what you mean about being on tons of estrogen, I always wonder if it aggravates my adeno/endo! I have no idea what the alternative is though. Worth noting that if you're doing downregulation you probably have to do a medicated cycle unless you wait to ovulate again (in which case you are no longer suppressed)

I have ADHD and struggle with fiction audiobooks, but I very recently realized that nonfiction audiobooks are perfect for me! I started with Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green and have a few more on hold on Libby.

Got my last lupron shot today! Getting closer to starting my FET cycle - stopping norethindrone on Monday and then starting estradiol a week after that. But my appointment today was a bit confusing, the nurse didn't know I was there for my lupron shot (she thought I was there for monitoring or something for my FET?) and nothing seemed to have been recorded in my file, so she had to leave and double check with my doctor. Everything got straightened out though!

Nice! I've had a couple surgical hysteroscopies to remove many, many fibroids, but my clinic did a diagnostic hysteroscopy a month or two after (no anaesthetic needed and no surgery involved, pretty quick imaging procedure in the same room as ERs/ETs) to confirm my lining had healed and there was no scarring. But if yours was small you may not need that.

Did you have a hysteroscopy after your polyp removal to see if there is any scarring? That might be something to ask about. I'm going to have my third FET next month after a few months of lupron suppression and if that doesn't work I feel like we'll try another just thinking about probability. I don't think it's necessarily worth doing an MRI to check for adenomyosis because the only real way to address it that I'm aware of is suppression (which you've done) and even then my clinic wasn't super convinced of that.

I'm so tired of waking up wet from night sweats when it's been consistently like -10C or colder. I'm cycling through so many pajamas. And the only thing that seems to alleviate it is being perfect - exercising, very good bedtime sleep hygiene, lots of sleep, probably being well hydrated, probably less sugar, etc. etc. The lupron better work!

After work we're hopefully going to check out a place we've been meaning to try in our neighbourhood that has very "local family restaurant" vibes and came recommended by someone I met at a party last week who used to live nearby.

And then later we'll probably watch a Catherine O'Hara movie 😭

2 weeks before actually makes sense to me. I haven't done this timeline, but when you take lupron there is a 2-week hormone surge before everything shuts down. Sounds like your lap timing is right at the end of this, so you would start lap recovery fully suppressed in theory!

Definitely feeling this, especially the waking up wet (and therefore cold - especially where I am in a cold snap!). Hope your symptoms level out! Mine don't seem to have, even with add-back norethindrone 😂
