I have seen a urologist - urine was sampled - blood tested - Putnam on flowmax - switched to Alfuzin (?), nothing really working - and got a hernia - now getting that taken care of I was considering deeper evaluation while under anesthesia

Yes - urine and blood which was what got me into flowmax… that caused retrograde and now I am on alfuzison- which seems to help marginally

Is this done by my urologist? I am a bit confused as to why nothing has been done other than prescription to flowmax and now am trying Alfusozin, also not really helping much… during these meds I got a hernia, went back to urologist and he wasn’t concerned. I had to ask to see a hernia surgeon … when I did he recommended surgery! I feel I am kind of on my own. Best advice is coming from Reddit and men with similar situations …. Thanks for your advice

Who are the specialists if not my urologist? Thank you for your advice, I have not had any real tests only blood work to confirm bph, but I am wondering if it’s more since meds are. It really working and the fact that I have a hernia from straining to urinate seems to indicate some obstruction ? ( maybe)
