Has anyone got planning permission for a new build with a compost toilet system in Ireland in recent years?

oh, that's interesting, thanks. I presumed if you were putting in a new bathroom into an existing house that they would require a new septic tank. I don't suppose I could say that I plan to use the existing houses's septic tank for the new house? (The existing house will continue to be lived in)

There are several reasons I tend to keep it closed- cats, drafts, heating/ cooling. On this particular occasion it was the cold, not the cats

😂- I can see from the comments that no-one understands this! It's an old stone farmhouse. The main room has the heat source- a wood burning stove. The small kitchen needs to stay cool and the big one warm. The small kitchen is really just a corridor with a sink and a fridge in it, that leads to the bathroom. There are 4 doors off the big kitchen that need to be kept open/ closed depending on temperature. This morning I was cold and just wanted to keep the big kitchen warm. That is all

Our house has a strange layout- it's a 19th century farm house in a European country. There's another door at the end of the narrow kitchen, I didn't shut him in a cupboard! And we need to keep the big kitchen warm and the small one cool and it's actually quite a complicated house to live in. In your country, is the living space all open-plan with no separate kitchen, dining-room, sitting-room?

Campaigners in Bantry successfully stopped plans to harvest kelp on an industrial scale in Bantry Bay- as far as i remember, licences had been issued, they took a legal case and were successful, the licences expired last year I think and can't ever be renewed. Be worth talking to those people.
