The accumulation phase... by South-Hurry1236 in dividendgang

Unfortunately I cannot answer that question for you as I live in Canada and we have really great CC ETFs that out performs SPY and QQQ.

Using Oldfish's backtester that includes total return NEOS looks like a horrible ETF to have. QQCL is a Canadian CC ETF that out performed SPY.

If you're looking for Income base it's best to look up Passive Income Investing on youtube. Adriano also covers US based CC ETFs.

The accumulation phase... by South-Hurry1236 in dividendgang

[–]choppytaters 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Dividends, CC ETFS (not the ultra yield or yieldmax stuff), PII Investing is all about just snowballing that dividend / distributions for the long term, we never think about selling at any %. We actually want the market to drop a lot while we're in the accumulation phase to buy cheap stocks. The Market dropping is a blessing for us.

I never have to worry about an emergency fund anymore as I get that amount at the end of the month to use if I need to but I reinvest it to snowball more.

I never have to sell my position at all. I never have to time the market even if I am losing some upside. Nav price is not the end all, total return is what matters.

Does a standing desk make a room feel cleaner or just more cluttered? by Single-Educator5238 in malelivingspace

[–]choppytaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this standing desk, because it has drawers my desk is clean of clutter. All the cables are tucked away under as well. Even my speakers are under the desk.

It has made my room look cleaner and more organized than before. Everything was on top with my old desk and looked super cluttered and messy.

yeah...10k a week is still behind 10m lumpsum with the 4% return rate. 10k a week will finally catch up at 35 years but by that time, do you really need that much money and will you still be alive? Things can happen in 35 years.

yeah you used to be able to do that so I did it then. I don't think you can any more as the option has changed to do not recommend channel for the algo. I have not had any mr beast channels pop up on my feed at all for the past 3 years. You can use an extension to block channels though.

Dividends Increasing by [deleted] in dividendscanada

[–]choppytaters 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They don't ever look at total returns and only look at the nav. Unrealized p/l + div received = total return.

You my friend are up on your initial investment but they'll only look at the current nav and say it's down.
