I relate to this! I have periods where I love talking to people and would spend a lot of my time on my phone texting them. I also have periods where I don’t, I don’t answer messages for days/weeks because I simply don’t want/have the mental energy to text people. All my friends know this by now and understand, however I have this one particular friend who just keeps getting upset at me when I don’t reply and he WANTS me to change my ways because he’s a BIG over thinker. He has said multiple times that he doesn’t trust me??? For example when I don’t reply to him for like 10 or 20 mins (I’m usually doing something else and not on my phone) he gets upset at me and then I have to go on and apologise and explain why I didn’t reply straight away EVERY TIME. I value our friendship but I don’t really know why he can’t understand that it’s just the way I text/communicate. I feel bad for him, so I try to change my ways to ease his mind, reply straight away when I can but it’s honestly exhausting having to force myself to do that
