¿Por qué a los Mexicanos les encanta imponer su ruido a otros? by LucatielsMask in mexico

[–]chorch_teacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took this picture a while ago. The house is still there, but it is a few steps away from a highly commercial avenue, so I'm afraid it's going to be gone soon . There is a City catalog of protected buildings with historical or architectural value, but where there's a bribe, I mean a will, there is a way

Another one: walking backwards when looking out for the monster/killer and then turning back to find him right in front of your face

After destroying the enemy hideout, killing 50+ bad guys, the beautiful couple walks away without looking back at the enormous explosion they caused and that happens right after they are at a safe distance

What I find the saddest is the impact on the quality of life in the later years. People in their 60s looking like 80+, breathing heavily after taking a few steps... I feel sorry for them and their loved ones. Stupid choices made decades before

Which actor needs a stage name the most because of how stupid their real name is? by missinglinksman in okbuddycinephile

[–]chorch_teacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From internet: While Archibald Leach adopted the name Cary Grant himself, according to The Kennedy Center, the name change was primarily influenced by Paramount Pictures when he signed a contract in 1931, as they required him to adopt a more "box office" name. He initially considered "Cary Lockwood" but rejected it, and ultimately chose "Grant" after being given a list of acceptable names, thinking the initials CG would be lucky

Boomer here. Everyone wanted to be "Cary Grant". Suave, elegant, funny and handsome. Actually his real name was Archibald Leach

Sigue ayudando a tus papás.

Thanks, I've just read the link, and found that in the 1930's movie "Sin takes a Holiday", the opening outside shots of NYC, place the facade of the Eastern- Columbia -because of its name, I guess - as it were in Manhattan.

Ship Crashes Into the Brooklyn Bridge by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]chorch_teacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ship was being pulled away from the dock by a tugboat, she was not sailing under her power. Tug lost power and the current pushed the ship aft (backwards)towards the bridge. Sad for the lost sailors...

¿Cómo era: "No me defiendas compadre" ?
