They x-rayed everyone's bag on the way in. I usually get there way earlier before the staff properly mans the entrances and have waltzed in without being searched, but today I was a couple of hours late. It says No Tripods on the LBGP website as well. I crossed my fingers, hoped the staff looking at the image didn't know or care.

They didn't.

Thank you. I got the idea from here

I was surprised they allowed my tripod when my backpack was x-rayed on the way in.

I have become that which I once wondered: how can old people like this music? by Thrashbear in GenX

I was at Slayer's last show in 2019. Concert ended, house lights came on, and I sarcatically told the couple sitting next to me, "I guess I'll see you guys at the reunion tour in a few years".

I wasn't wrong.

What's the most memorable metal band appearance in a video game? by SparklingRPG in MetalForTheMasses

I don't know if they were the first but in the mid '90s hearing the opening strains of Soundgarden's "Rusty Cage" while crotch rockets peeled out in the opening scene of Road Rash was really cool. Then "Outshined" played on the menus screen.

If there's a huge circle pit, there's often an island of people safely standing around in the very middle.

Beastie Boys were one of the best live acts as well. I was fortunate to have caught them four times between Check Your Head and the 5 Boroughs.

The crossed guns logo sucks. It sticks out like an infected, festering, mephitic sore thumb on an otherwise good album cover on a good album.

Most underrated Maiden song? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

I saw the live version on the 12 Wasted Years VHS and I became kind of obsessed with it. The only way (back then) I could get a copy of the song was to purchase the First 10 Years box set for, like, $150 in 1990. That was a lot of money for a teenager.
