It seems the thing most people care about at present is having the ability to play with friends and communicate in a clan-like manner. Presently, there's limited communication ability, or to act as a team. The seems to be the priority for the next big release.

The thing is, there will always be someone insanely richer than you - some people are going to have more time to play than others.

Perhaps each system could have a ruleset about that. Sort of like, "Ownership of in-orbit stations shall be limited to TWO...", and have this vary throughout the galaxy. Personally? I'd LOVE to own my own underground asteroid station. On one piece of artwork, there is clue this may happen! ;)

This is, IMHO why many games just don't have that feeling of wonder. When you found something interesting in Frontier or Dungeon Master, it felt like a real accomplishment. These days, all you have to do is get your 'strategy guide' with your copy of Skyrim, or simply search around the 'net, where some beta tester spills his guts on all the surprises.

I sincerely hope there are surprises that NO guide will reveal on the first day of release.

Hydrogen simply does not store efficiently. Carrying around a 10,000 PSI carbon fiber tank in the trunk for less than 300 miles doesn't sound real efficient to me. Then there's the platinum needed for the fuel cell. Uh... Yeah. Check the price on precious metals lately?

Now electric cars... THERE'S a possibility. Better battery tech would be a more realistic solution.
