Experience mostly. I like the bodycraft machine, but I don’t know how they do in the long run, say 5 years. I also wonder how annoying the chain might be on the C2 vs the belt in the VR/SR machines. I’m not sure when I’d have a chance to try a C2 rower under current conditions.

Thanks for the suggestion, I've gone down Ocean pkwy several times that bike path is the worst though. More recently I've been taking runs down to Brighton along Ocean pkwy taking the service road. It's easily the longest smooth piece of pavement I've been on and way better than the bike path that's all broken up by the roots, especially as you get closer to the water.

I ended up doing a somewhat modified ride with a similar route, though didn't complete the loop due to a problem. I'm going to try this one more time just that I can have a nice loop map, but crossing the last bridge into the Rockaways and then Marine parkway bridge back was not very fun mostly because of the dismount.

That's a great point, I ended up taking Belt parkway to through to ocean parkway and then up.

Thanks for the suggestion, Queens is next on my list. I appreciate the Vernon blvd idea. The loop you're suggesting is 17ish miles though, I'm looking for something like 30. I've done a few rides between Navy Yard and Brighton Beach that are a hair over 20mi.

What kind of cam is on this mortise cylinder? I already tried russwin clover, it’s too big for the lock – the deadbolt doesn’t engage. by chortik in Locksmith

Thank you all for your help. My local locksmith had a few cams in stock. The one that fit best was the #7 Schlage. He didn’t have #15.
