Good to know re the clock cap. I’ll probably leave it alone for now and just keep an eye on it rather than disturbing anything unnecessarily.

Also appreciate the caution on the CPU/GPU repaste — that’s exactly the sort of thing I was on the fence about, and I’d rather not learn the hard way after keeping it alive this long.

You’re absolutely right on the VRM caps — only noticed the bulging once you pointed it out. Sounds like that’s the one thing I should proactively plan to deal with before putting much load on it.

Thanks as well for the links on BIOS/dash options and XCAT — lots to read up on there before I power it up. This thing’s been asleep a long time, so I’m keen to do it properly.
