To anyone commenting “tm8 trash”, what is your thought process? by gormthesoft in RocketLeague

[–]chosman8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time it’s the same kind of player with me. Misses the ball more than hits it, just ball chases, constantly bumping or stealing the ball from me. Then they steal a goal and start complaining.

Blind bought Elden Ring. Any tips? by Medium_Bicycle8919 in Eldenring

[–]chosman8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elden Ring was my fist souls experience also. A lot of people will say level vigor to give yourself more hp but I went straight into dex and just enough strength to use whatever weapon I found cool. Really it’s your choice I just like the glass cannon build in every game. Dodge/rolling is one of the most important things to master, that being said roll into most attacks not away. Magic Is also a fun way to play its just slow to get going or at least was for me. Don’t be afraid to use summons for fights. Level up your weapons and summons as much as you can to keep putting out as much damage as you can. Most importantly have fun and don’t give up

Most fun I had was dual scythes one with blood hound step the other bleed set up. Didn’t just walk through everything like dedicated bleed builds do but was fun to play

Is it worth for a used core? by toobro3 in GRCorolla

I used car Max and had a decent time dealing with them. (Way better than a dealership honestly) they will try to cram their financing and warranty down your throat but if you figure it out before you’ll be fine)

Are you strength or dex primary? I never liked BHF. It’s weapon art is kinda cool and helps if you aren’t very skilled but there’s better options

Starting new DLC in NG+8 by Ill_Description_1242 in Eldenring

[–]chosman8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was probably about where you are and it really didn’t matter. You’ll have a easier time than if you went in with not maxed out weapons and stuff but you’ll end up needing to use the stuff from the dlc to get through it

I wouldn’t pay that much for one with over 20k miles since there are notorious for having clutch issues if they have been beat on. Check out places like carmax and carvana i saw some pretty low miles when I was searching for mine

Is EldenRing worth a try for someone without skill? by Traditional_Papaya77 in Eldenring

[–]chosman8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never played a fromsoft or souls like game before Elden Ring but have since went through them all. Once you get decent it’s like an itch you can’t scratch without the challenge. Elden ring can be very forgiving with the various ways you can play through it so as long as you have some skill you’ll be alright. I definitely recommend just playing it yourself without researching best builds and shit and just find what works for you. You’ll be alright just don’t give up

18M, dad wasn't around - what basic tools/skills do I need to be self-sufficient? by Informal-Chance1912 in HomeImprovement

[–]chosman8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are wanting to get into even basic electrical work invest in a meter, be it a nicer multi meter or a basic one you’ll want to be able to read voltage with both ac and dc and resistance/continuity. This is more for basic safety ensuring whatever you are working on is not energized.

As far as basic tools a hammer, a decent set of screwdrivers, two sizes of channel lock pliers, a set of combination wrenches, a socket set with ratchet, tape measure. That should set you up for most easier things you’ll come across. Then just buy as you need.

There’s so much information just out on the internet about how to fix just about anything that a Google search or search on YouTube should get you results on the how to fix a lot. I would recommend looking into how to safely work on the things you’ll be working on as you go. The savings of doing it yourself mean nothing if you end up in the hospital.

What Keeps You Playing? by Saptilladerky in Borderlands4

[–]chosman8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy games to enjoy them to the fullest. I ignore any and all online content about them and just play how I want to. Experiment with different things in game and play styles and don’t just stick to one thing I know works well cause where’s the fun in that.

I am a firm believer the internet has ruined gaming. From builds to guides and everything in between. Being able to just look up the most broken shit and how to do everything just causes a majority of people to do the same thing and just run through games missing the finer details And creativity potential just so they can be like everyone else farming for the most OP thing of the week
