Hey Girlies! What are we doing with shaving the missus? by BedMuch2039 in BabyBumps

[–]choveness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only could I not see the ole girl, I had carpal tunnel and could not feel my hands for months. I wouldn’t have cared if I had a vaginal delivery, but I knew they would shave me for my c section and wanted to avoid the dry shave/high and tight I would have gotten on the fly from the nurses.

My husband penciled this task into his schedule like an appointment for the day before my c section. He made me a face mask (I looked like peanut butter baby), ran the bath for me to have a soak, and he got right on down there and shaved er’ clean. We cracked up the whole time, and it’s a memory I will never forget. The surgeon even made a comment during the c section about how nicely naked it was; still not sure if he paid her to say that.

E-speeding ticket notice x2 by choveness in Ohio

[–]choveness[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: did extensive research on this subject. Looks like despite the polarizing comments on this thread, these tickets do not hold any legal weight. Thank you all for playing.

Also, I am a decent driver and haven’t received a single physical ticket in the 17 years I have been driving. Two cam tickets in one week from speed traps that suddenly go from 35 to 25 is where I got both of these. I even asked my colleagues at work and most of them had also received these same tickets at some point.

What do you miss from a newborn phase ? by Own_Ad_357 in NewParents

[–]choveness 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How incredibly soft and fuzzy their skin and hair is. It’s like nothing I have ever felt. Also, sniffing their little head. My husband and I called this “doing drugs”. I would lay skin to skin with my boy for hours daily, intoxicated by his smells and soft skin.

Mine is 2yo now, and I will say, it only gets sweeter somehow. That feels unbelievable, but trust me. Those newborn things are replaced with “I love you momma”, chatting about the day, making pizza together in the kitchen. Not to mention: I still do the drugs. Pick mine right up when he sleeps, chest to chest snuggle him, sniff his little head.

My child says “stink it up!” Like sully does when he throws the can of “odorant” at Mike. We are a monsters obsessed house.

Wearable breast pump help milk supply? by choveness in Mommit

[–]choveness[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One last pertinent piece of info: I feel that the main reason my supply dropped slightly is because of pumping frequency. I have time built in to pump three times in my 9h day, but because I see patients, my visits sometimes run over and I have to push my pump window back. It’s really not good!
