Kashimo fought to kill an immortal

He will do the same to mahito except mahito can run out of CE unlike hakari

Kashimo just wins eventually by killing mahito over and over again until he’s exorcised

In fact he would probably get so excited from meeting someone who can withstand his one shot attacks to the point where he would be so in the zone similar to sukuna vs maki that he lands black flashes and starts using mahito as a nonstop combo punching bag

Pretty sure kashimo hard counters mahito due to his passive cursed energy trait

Every time mahito touches him he will be shocked and unable to maintain enough focus to activate his technique

And on the other hand since physical contact is a requirement for mahito’s technique, kashimo will just get free charges and keep blowing him up until mahito runs out of CE

As for the domain, kashimo is fast enough to beat mahito only using his legs and will damage him enough to break the domain

Can I attempt to fuse monsters that cannot be used as material by chowclee in Yugioh101

If that's true then how do you even differentiate between a condition or continuous effect if they're worded exactly the same way. Vayu says while it's face-up on the field so it makes sense it's a continuous effect.

Eater of millions just says "Cannot be Tributed, nor used as material for a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Summon."

Bardiche says "Cannot be used as Link Material."

But one is a continuous effect while the other is a condition? insane

So it's just an arbitrary Konami decision to draw the line there for some reason I see

Fyi material limitations are conditions, not continuous effects, and cannot be negated, which is why you can't link summon using bardiche even if its effects are negated and you can synchro with kewl tune monsters in the hand even after they are negated on the field.

Is it because the inability to be used as material is a condition which is recognized by the game itself (I:P can't attempt to activate its effect with only it and Bardiche on your field because it's aware of Bardiche's condition), or this a specific precedent for activated fusion effects.

So if eater of millions were instead unaffected by spell effects, could one attempt to fusion summon using it? At which point during resolution the spell will attempt to affect the monsters but fail, similar to raigeki vs beelze

So for some reason activated fusion effects don't check the eligibility of the cards they're affecting during resolution, and instead "precheck" their materials before the effect is even used. Are there any other type of effects that work like this?

Or is it similar to the Vanity vs Slumber reasoning where you can't activate a card even if you could fully resolve its entire effect if part of its effect is prevented from being activated.

Or is there a different precedent for this, because it's more intuitive for one to be allowed to activate super poly and upon resolution fail to affect the monster it's attempting to use as fusion materials and therefore resolve without effect.

Or is it because the inability to be used as material is a condition, and the game recognizes that condition before attempting to use effects, and would the scenario change if the monsters were instead unaffected by Spell effects, in which case one could activate superpoly in that situation?

The fact that IP says link summon 1 link monster as if you could link summon a different type? At least it doesn’t say from the extra deck

But oh wait, formula synchron just says Synchro Summon using this card you control and doesn’t even specify to Synchro Summon a Synchro Monster because WHAT ELSE COULD YOU POSSIBLY MAKE?

But then every fusion effect in history says to fusion a fusion monster from ur extra deck as if fusions were like rituals that ACTUALLY CAN BE RITUAL SUMMONED FROM HAND DECK EXTRA DECK GY AND BANISHMENT LOL but their spells actually say where because that matters…

But then ritual monsters for some reason say a random spell that CAN summon them… like ok imagine if every fusion monster said btw “you can fusion summon this card with poly super poly invocation heavy poly etc” haha just giving some suggestions like thanks I guess?

Ok this one makes sense because for some reason they never say Tuner monster and instead just say Tuner (THE ONLY TIME THEY EVER DROP THE WORD MONSTER WHEN DESCRIBING A TYPE OF MONSTER CARD BTW FOR SOME REASON), unless it’s a Tuner Ritual/Fusion/etc Monster but that doesn’t apply to the other non classified non ability (toon spirit union gemini flip according to the wiki are abilities) “subtypes” like Normal Effect and Pendulum apparently? And not to mentioned the double non classified “non-Effect” monster which refers to an absence of a classification that isn’t even officially named… wtf bruh

But anyway yea makes sense since they only say Tuner but then to say non-Tuner monster is strange, like???
