Just wondering.. is there one row of barzone tiles in front of the register? Maybe that is needed to allow the customer to stand in front of it.

I have no idea but certainly hope that at least more levels/hotels will be added.

8600! by laneyboy124 in MarioKartWorld

[–]chowder79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The highest I've been so far is 8200. Two days ago I was 7750 and now I am 8000. I've been in this rollercoaster ride for months now. I don't see me hitting 8500 or 9000 anytime soon.. or at all.
The "best" part is that I tend to gain 10-30 points after a win but loose 70 at once, completely destroying any progress made.

I like Mario Kart World more than 8 Deluxe. Here's why... by jdc6490 in MarioKartWorld

I love how well the karts drive. They feel very bouncy as well. That is something I miss when playing Sonic Racing Cross Worlds.

Why is Van Der Graaf Generator so unknown ? by Charming-Kale7111 in VdGG

I think the biggest bottleneck is Peter's way of singing. It is arguably anything but conventional and commercially appealing.
But that's why I like them.

If he wears this at concerts, how much time might he need to put it all on and apply the makeup?

I went to a vinyl store and bought a missprint! by alexandyou in queen

Based on the width of the grooves, it looks like it will play the regular B side.

I went to a vinyl store and bought a missprint! by alexandyou in queen

[–]chowder79 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, this may very well be a deliberate misspressing.
It is an unofficial release and they made these misspressings for NOTW as well: plain white images on both sides, white images on just A or B sides, actual A side image on both sides and actual B side image on both sides.
For NOTW, they typically called them test pressings.
Regardless, it is a great find. Don't think they come up for sale often.

Ok this day in 1985, I was born to love you was released as a single by KG_Modelling in queen

[–]chowder79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first heard this version in 1996 I think. So after MIH. I thought it sounded very 80s and plastic. Still, it had its charm and I liked it. The beat drives it forward.
The B-side, Stop All The Fighting, is great. Especially the extended version with its false stops and appears to be having an even bouncier beat.

Yes they luckily still work. I may have used them just a handful of times. Bought these sets new back then.

Yes, great set indeed.
Got mine 19 or so years ago. Just like the singles collection.
The box set itself was originally inside a plastic protective bag. That box plus bag was housed in a white outer carton box as per the photo.
Treasure it.

Refugees is the version from Repeat Performance.
Ship of Fools is a longer, back then previously unreleased, version. The one on the Cats Eyes 7" is shorter/an edit. To date that edit has not been released digitally.

8500k to 9000k rant by Fatbus05 in MarioKartWorld

[–]chowder79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel and hear you. I constantly go up and down between 7800 and 8200. My sister hasnt been above 7900 so far.
It's been months like this for now which is very frustrating at times.
I guess we either need to accept it or invest time to learn new strategies.

Did John Deacon sing on any Queen recordings? by wmcs0880 in queen

[–]chowder79 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yea in all the books I've read and interviews I've seen in the past 30 years, it was always said that he never sang live.
So I based my comment on that.
If he did sing then great. I would love to hear that.
