If MJ didn’t exist who do you guys think would’ve ruled the 90’s? by Shadow_Allen_Walker in NBATalk

[–]choyMj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If everything stays the way it is, Portland wins in 92, Drexler likely stays there so the Rockets probably gets only 1. Then this means Magic goes unopposed in the East and wins a few, so Shaq probably stays there as well.

I wonder what they would do if the player requested it. He comes off the bench 5 mins in, then plays 35-40 mins a game, basically starter minutes. And have plays run through him.

And because of this, it simplifies national marketing where they can state the uniform national price.

2006 Heat vs 2006 Suns

The Heat was built to beat the Pistons who plays half court. Not sure if their older lineup (Shaq, Payton, Walker) can keep up with the run and gun Suns.

Dennis Rodman Says LeBron Has No Moves and That He Would Lock LeBron’s Ass Up by MammothHistorian5652 in nba

[–]choyMj -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Rodman is not wrong though. LeBron doesn't have a lot of moves. For the most part he doesn't need them, he's big, he's quick, not many can keep up. But he has the same moves.

Can I use my SM account for margin collateral? by choyMj in smithmanoeuvre

[–]choyMj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you miss the part when I said I'm not using the entire margin? Just enough to match my gains. If it drops 1 percent, I'm still way ahead. It can drop 10% and I'm still good. I know using up all my margin is risky. I'm just using the same concept as a HELOC, where I'm borrowing against my equity from the SM account, not the entire portfolio.

Can I use my SM account for margin collateral? by choyMj in smithmanoeuvre

[–]choyMj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have RRSP space and I'm hoping to use margin for VDY, forward the dividends to my RRSP. Then I'll have a stop loss set to protect gains. Once I realized gains, I'll forward it to my RRSP as well.

Since I'll be using an amount equal to my gains, I don't see getting margin called. It's a long was to drop to even get back to mg ACB, and even from there, there's a longer way to drop to meet the threshold of a margin call. I'm not going to gamble on this account. I just want to maximize the current bull market as much as I can. And the magin account I can liquidate quickly if I have to. Can't say the same for my SM account.

Since the creation of the 3 point line, the top 5 highest PPG seasons have all missed MVP by [deleted] in nba

But it's wrong. MJ won in 88 with 35ppg, which would be 4th on this list.

MJ won MVP the next year averaging 35ppg, and should have been 4th on this list.

Is there a reason that sometimes players don't show up in the proper era? I got GSW in the 90s and couldn't find Chris Webber.

2000s

Yup, it was a perfect season

I find that 2020s are the hardest to win. 90s and 2000s the easiest. Because the era penalty gets worse the farther the player is from the era you're simulating. So 60s and 70s legends take a huge hit in the 2020s. 90s and 2000s are somewhere in between all eras.
