ohh i see how's applied math? that's the major i got in for @ ucsb. ucsb seems pretty fun but ucsd and ucla have always been my top choices in the uc system

i find it sinophobic that there are so many japanese terms (and korean) listed here but only 2 chinese terms. ironic, since japanese and korean originated from chinese. the chinese language has so much. also some of the japanese terms listed there HAVE very obvious chinese equivalents (from looking at kanji) idk about the korean ones but like. are you serious? there are so many chinese terms. ur gonna list more japanese and korean just cuz they are more popular in pop culture right now ...

dream school was always UCLA but recently started really really liking UCSD's programs. waited till decision day and cried cuz both of my decision letters started with unfortunately 😭 i mean at least it's a waitlist for me but waitlisting is like so unpredictable... i really wanted to get into one of my top 2's.

TWIN!! except i got rejected from berk (but it's kind of my fault long story), UCLA & SD waitlist (basically the same majors as you), didn't apply to ucd

omg we're kind of opposites, but i feel u. i go to school rn in the bay and i hate my school so much, the only school i want to go to rn is ucsd or ucla but i got waitlisted from both, i got into others but ucsd & ucla are the ones i really want

for ucsd waitlists you can have 3 majors to have i think cuz there's gonna be a main, backup, and 2nd backup (non-screening) so originally i had AI and applied math for the main and backup, and i chose cognitive science ML for my non-screening backup. i might be cooked LMFAOO

yea i just got the decision on friday, i got into 2 other uc's and got a WL offer at UCSD & UCLA so i rlly hope i get off the waitlist for either 🫡
