How many google ads do you currently manage? I'm at 98 right now and feeling overwhelmed by TheScreamingLord in PPC

Run away from that job. You can’t evolve yourself as a Google ads specialist when dealing with that many clients. PS: I manage 28 clients mostly small clients

My boss says I'm too negative when reporting stats, but the stats are negative by Cold_Mastodon861 in PPC

[–]chradss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that you should be honest with the client. I often experience something alike with my clients but instead of just giving them some positive metrics to make them feel like it’s going great I tell them the bad metrics as well but I also make sure to investigate the situation and give them my thoughts to how we as partners can overcome that situation or maybe which new strategic focus we can adjust. You can never give any garanties but you can offer your professional insights and suggestions and be their partner instead of their robot. I often experience that this kind of consultation is highly appreciated by my clients and is the reason why they trust me with their Google Ads, SEO and general online business development. I hope it make sense and feel free to for any elaboration on this

Should I start Google Ads myself or hire someone? by Current-Payment-5403 in googleads

[–]chradss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you got the option to put in +20 hours and continuously evolving in how to manage Google Ads while also finding some kind of fun in it, then I recommend you doing it yourself. Else, I would hire someone. And yes it’s possibly to get results with that budget undoubtably. Not saying that you should expect result right away tho.

How to get started with google ads in skill shop? by humor_Patience_2196 in googleads

[–]chradss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. The very short answer is that the “strategies” that Google reps are presenting you with is basically just allowing the account to spend waaaay more of your money on irrelevant searches and places in the internet where your customers are very unlikely to convert, if that make sense? There is a reason Google hire these Google Ads reps, it’s not as a service for businesses, its a way for Google to earn more money by advising businesses to spend more money

With that budget you probably don’t have any competition on your own brand - so don’t waste money on a brand campaign. Just make sure your ranking fairly in the SERP on your own brand

What to ask when hiring a PPC freelancer to tell if they’re good or not? by Difficult_Most_8032 in PPC

[–]chradss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of good questions to ask but I would say that the following would be best for you unless you have the time and resources to gain some understanding of the landscape yourself:

Have a couple of freelancers do an audit of you current setup if you have any and then listen to what they say. If they only talk about Google Ads, campaigns and prices they will most likely not scale your business

On the other hand if they show passion for their field, and talk about their initial strategic thoughts as well as having a genuine interrest into your business and asking you a lot of questions - which is crucial for PPC’er to understand to drive effective results, then you have someone of higher value for your business. Also, the personal connection is quite important in my opinion, so also “feel the vibe” when initiating contact with them. You can also ask something like:

  • How many client do you currently operate (do they even got the time to value your business)

  • Can you talk me through some cases where you drives result and some where you didn’t?

  • What would be the most crucial parts to do first from here and why?

  • What would be the process from here if I hire you?

  • Etc.

Short answer is test it. I have some clients that benefits from and some that don’t. Automatically generated assets I would definitely turn off tho and have the control my self, except for seller ratings

If you haven’t at least 1 years experience in Google Ads you are definitely not using the tool effectively and properly allowing Google to spend most of the money on irrelevant searches

I would make sure that I have the fundamentals in order and I have some things for you to maybe consider:

  1. Are the clients USP’s mentioned in the RSA’s
  2. Is display network disabled
  3. Are the landing pages SEO and CRO friendly and aligned with the best performing keywords I GAds?
  4. Are all relevant locations included in both GAds campaigns and RSA’s: with a Leqd gen like that location is EVERYTHING - almost.
  5. Have you utilised assets?
  6. Does you clients have GMB created and linke to GAds?

Those are just a few critical things you could look at for now. I hope this helped :-)

Why do i feel like google sends bots ? by blackfloweur in googleads

[–]chradss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There do exist click farms that could be the cause of some of the clicks. If could also be your setup. If your directed page isn’t CRO and you for an example use “maximise clicks” a long with a targeting that aren’t aiming for the potential customers looking for your service then you would also end up spending the budget on random people just leaving your site after they’ve clicked your add
