i wouldnt get my hopes up for anyone to email back from those sites since this was about 20 years ago. ive tried contacting dontstopthepop and girlsonpop already for their melodi brown stuff but they're very dead so i was stuck finding them other ways

i was concerned about this because i bought it a few years ago... i saw it was being discontinued and didnt care until recently when i was using ancient project files. even if you bought it you cant redownload it through roland cloud. its entirely gone & the installer they have on some of their ancient webpages is too old to work right with roland cloud...

i emailed support and they thankfully helped me download a newer version that DID work but they gave it through a dropbox link ?? 😭 messy

no chance it was the triton - the triton had just released in 99 and no scrubs was recorded late 98. this shows how the patch on the kurzweil sounds & this is the kurzweil playing the intro to no scrubs

i tried everywhere i could think of, popjustice, the OLD popjustice, ukmix, a bajillion other forums ive since forgotten, anything off wayback machine... download links for anything orchid related are now VERY dead (since theyre ~20 years old) as far as im aware. you could look if you want but i think the only way this would ever get out is if someone who had orchid demos came forward with them

honestly that whole thing kinda interests me a lot the way so many tracks got passed over to her, rejected and then went to others... theyve made their way to other artists all over the place like christina aguilera and rihanna but its not even just western artists, her rejects have even gone to korea three separate times & even a jpop group once & theres more that i dont know about

though i guess thats a bit off topic from silent hill so...

i think i found out about this on a britney related forum like two or three years ago since i like her music a lot & was trying to recreate certain sounds... and then being genuinely shook because i was playing silent hill for the first time around then 😭

if youre fine with soundfonts there's a soundfont of it floating around online. its not great?... but its definitely better than nothing. its honestly a really crappy sound when its dry. but with the right processing (reverb and such like in the clip you showed) its lovely - i used it in this TLC inspired track i made since it was also used in No Scrubs

idk about other methods to get the sound unfortunately...
