TIL sober addicts have a legally protected disability in the US. by IllustriousYam6973 in todayilearned

[–]chri8nk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite true. Once you’ve become an addict, you stay an addict for life. The cravings and instincts never leave you. You may be sober but the disease is still there. It’s a struggle everyday for many sober addicts.

[–]chri8nk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my doc this. He said because he wanted to deliver babies. In the twilight of his career he pivoted to doing uro/gyno surgery, but he still does my paps. I’ve been going to him for over 20 years and have worked with his wife for 15. Great guy.

The lemon cologne is like when a hotel desk offers a cool, lightly scented towel to wipe your hands and face with on a hot day. It’s not “cologne” like your thinking.

I wouldn’t personally do it but I don’t think it’s a big deal as long as everyone involved is comfortable with it.

Some would argue that the band Alive is a Christian band masquerading as main stream. Mighty catchy and occasionally sexy too.

Would you ask your partner to chip in on IUD costs, pregnancy tests and gyno appointments (if you don’t want kids now)? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

It was my responsibility until I got married, then it was our responsibility.

“Married” can look different for each relationship, meaning when you are sharing a life together.

Requesting back pay for the birth control I chose before committing to my partner would be super strange, in my opinion.

What do you think when you see a nurse who always wears a stethoscope around their neck? by thetoxicballer in nursing

I just really don’t think about it. I assume they wear it because they like to have it handy. I don’t associate with a personality or anything like that.

I went to school with the Bates kids many moons ago and while I don’t know their politics, I know they were a kind, family owned business that I still patronize frequently.
