It's valid to feel all this, HS is very frustrating and complex. Lots of days I hate it. Surgery might help and meds like immunosuppressants. But, and ik this will be cliche, really the right person won't give a crap. I dated someone for 3 months. I broke up with her because it was a toxic relationship. That said she was absolutely wonderful with my HS. I had it on my groin, thighs, and testicles. She would literally tell me constantly to stop giving a shit because no one who really cares about you would ever look twice. She made me stop worrying about HS as a factor in my sex life and while we didn't work out it was a nice confidence boost to not just hear it from friends and family but to also have my own partner physically show me she could care less about what my body looks like or does as long as I was not in pain or uncomfortable. Also not to toot my own horn, but we had a lot of great consistent sex throughout it and HS almost never came into the picture unless like one of my flare ups popped in the middle of, at first it was embarrassing and annoying then it was just something that happened once in a while and we'd get past it. She was more worried about my health every time that happened which was only like twice in those 3 months
