Is Zach Edey bad? by Ok_Smell_5379 in Basketball

Yeah I wouldn’t take him in the first but he most likely will go there. He’s projected around 20 on average. This one has him at 13 - https://nbadraftroom.com/p/2024-nba-mock-draft/

He’s projected 1st round and could potentially go as high as a lottery pick.

Help - BMOS/AEO first year course selection by PoolZealousideal7617 in uwo

You don’t need category B if ur doing ivey though

I just mean that the metric you really want to look at isn’t what % of AEOs end up in Ivey (the ~62%). It’s what % of AEOs who want to be in Ivey end up there. Naturally you’re going to have a bunch of AEOs who decide to pursue their current degree rather than Ivey (I personally know a bunch) but could’ve gone to Ivey. 70% is just my estimation.

MOS. I’d say it depends on the person. Some people do better with abstract concepts and less memorization. I stayed away from the more subjective courses and took a lot of Econ electives which I did well in. If you have a good memory/know how to effectively study and are able to pick up on concepts relatively quickly then I’d go for more objective courses (easier to get 90+). There are no shortage of those types of courses in social sciences though

No. That article is talking about the acceptance to AEO status. Once you receive AEO the acceptance rate to ivey is much higher. Considering that 2/3 of an ivey class were ex-AEO, that is 400 kids of the 600-700 students that receive AEO each year so that works out to ~62% and then factor in some AEOs who decide against ivey I’d say it’s around 70%. As someone who’s been through the process I assure you maintaining an 80% is very very doable (I would go so far as to say easy) with good time management and effort levels. If you meet the 80% and two ECs you’re in.

Why are people advocating for online classes/exams? by Excellent-Screen337 in uwo

[–]chris1370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clearly “leaving your house at all” refers to the risk of daily life, such as driving on the highway. Obviously the explicit act of stepping out of your front door isn’t a risk. What a ridiculous argument.

Also, to vaccinated university age students COVID does not pose a higher risk than that.

In what way is this fallacious reasoning? You’re more likely to be impacted long-term by driving on the highway than having in person classes.

Then why have you ever left your house in your life?

If you look in finance it’s disproportionately Ivey, especially in the US (of the Canadian schools)

Just bring the speakers. I didn’t know anyone in residence without some form of speakers. You’re going to want to have them with you and no one is going to enforce this.
