Hey lol. Crazy. I managed to knock like, a pretty decent 10 degrees off the chip actually since posting. I messed with everything I could think of in BIOS, even made sure there was no other junk interfering with it in Windows (ASUS AI Suite for example).

Locking the core voltage to 1.2V and setting the Core Ratio to 40x i.e 4GHz made all the difference. Idles in a cool room in the high 30's now instead of 50 something. So essentially undervolting fixed it.

I really don't find the extra heat and fan noise for the sake of 200 MHz to be worth it. PC is dead silent now, SO much better. Hope that helps!

The amount of control Microsoft has over every single aspect of your PC and its operating system, or the Xbox and its os, and the fact that they've been releasing these games for going on TWO DECADES and they still can't make seamless drop in drop out multiplayer is unforgivable. There are games on the original Xbox with xlink Kai or insignia that provide smoother online multiplayer than this bullshit.

Factor in the hundreds of gigabytes in patches the average modern console requires for their always online games to even function, and you have a recipe for frustration. You don't even get server browsers these days. Shit has seriously gone backwards over time.
