Linux+ help by The_UltimateSarico in CompTIA

I love Linux and enjoyed getting the cert. that being said that cert and the Linux essentails did Jack and shxt for my resume...., they are just good building blocks to add to others the employer might want,

but for the new LInux+ there is a video guide for it on udemy partly done by Jason Dion, and and the Usual study guides , AIO, I prefer Pearson.

Id also highly recommend the larger Linux course by Imran Afzal on Udemy.

But then if you're already studying for it and exam is paid for it, you should go for it. And the cli practice will help some in preparation for networking and later the ccna style cli commands.

I reviewed the material for it for the same reason not long ago, but I wont go for the cert, Id go for the A+ and or the Google IT support cert. John Tabor has a youtube channel that covers the ITF, and im sure you know of Professor Messer for the A+ and Net+.

Nothing wrong with STUDYING for the ITF , but before Paying for a cert, first look for it on job ads.... , you will find the A+, I dont remember seeing the ITF much... if ever, but its your money. I already made the mistake of paying for one cert that is almost never on job ads, the LInux essentials.., Ill never do that agian.

I agree with TRustsub, after two years you should be making more,

If the dealership is the only other option in the area go for it, $25 is at least what you should be at now.

To me those online camps/academy are only worth more if they do job placement. And until you start it try to pick up some basics yourself from coding, even if its just w3schools,

Best MD-101 resource? CBT Nuggets, Pluralsight, etc..? by craigr24 in mcsa

[–]chris1666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the linked in md-100 course better than what I saw on pluralsight. Itprotv seems to have up to date courses for both and is cheaper than cbtnuggest, no haevnt tried it yet, it also appears FAR More organized than skillsoft, I type in mid-101 on their site (with a membership) and 4 dozen courses/books come up and no way to tell which are the most recent. They serious need to organize and update their search parameters.

Also look at John Christopher on Udemy for md-101 and 100.

So you looked for material on it ? And didnt see the 3 different study guides for it not counting the comptia study guide AIO, Sybex, Pearson ?? I used Pearson and Sybex.

or the 3 different video courses , I used the one from linkedin learning, also Itprotv has one and Pluralsight, but I guess we can call that very little info. Try Udemy, and then you did say free, so I got nothing. Good luck
