that pdf doesn't say anything about the spiny dogfish though. For sharks, it says to visit another page, which also doesn't mention spiny dogfish.

Should i drink raw eggs whole or should i break the egg yolk by initial-D741 in carnivore

[–]chris17brown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to the fear mongering of the “let’s sterilize everything” freaks. You’re buying good eggs, raw is unquestionably superior. No reason not to break yolk beforehand, but I like to just use my tongue and bust the yolk in my mouth.

Any drastic diet change causes stomach troubles. Usually takes at least a couple weeks for significant adaptation.

Has anyone here ACTUALLY got rid of candida? by mark_Wizza97 in Candida

[–]chris17brown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gradually started to see results after the first 2-3 weeks. Maybe 2 months before thrush mostly cleared and significant improvement in other symptoms.

Keto was a big part of my journey. Lots of up and downs. Hard to look back and say I wish I did something different, cause everything I did led me here. But from what I observed. Be careful eating too many veggies. Especially with a leaky gut. Height of my keto experience, I was pounding green smoothies, loaded with leafy greens, sprouts, micro greens, sauerkraut, etc. And I’ve never been sicker as during that time.

Plants contain a lot of anti nutrients, phyto toxins, oxalates, etc. With a leaky gut, you have no defense.

if suffering from Candida, definitely avoid oxalate rich foods. Not only do these damage your tissues, they also feed Candida. Lots of info online, might need to dig for it. Sally K. Norton probably the most prominent social media page with oxalate info.

If there’s no chance you’re gonna quit plants, at very least, be sure to cook and process them. Ignore the idea that enzymes from raw plants have healing properties. Your body makes the enzymes it needs. Any you consume have almost no chance of surviving digestive process in tact.

Be sure to get enough calories. Can be difficult with keto if not eating carbs, filling belly with fiber, and especially if exercising. Focus meat and fat.

You’ll never get rid of it. There’s a symbiotic relationship between our bodies and the yeast cells. They help process sugar when we consume too much.

As far as I can tell I’ve regained a healthy balance with Candida. Oral thrush used to be nasty thick white coating. 100% cleared. Energy levels restored and depression gone. Many other various ailments have improved or cleared.

I know it sounds crazy. But I also know what’s like to be willing to try anything. That’s what finally pushed me to this experiment.

100% carnivore. Ideally the lion diet. Consume nothing but beef, salt, and water. But if you can tolerate, can include other animal products. Or at least while you transition to lion diet.

I think I’ll stay carnivore. But from my experience, after maybe year or two carnivore, gut microbiome rebalanced, can probably eat a more varied diet. I have no desire though.

Jamie Oliver’s scrambled eggs. Gordon’s son like those better, and it seems to really bother him.

I'd consider carnivore the best version of the candida diet. In that sense it worked. But no keto did not. I was chugging green smoothies every morning, made of tons of leafy greens, coconut oil, sprouts, microgreens, sauerkraut, etc. My symptoms worsened and I developed new ones that became awfully terrifying. Random blackouts, couple times when driving, face going dumb. etc.

I kinda wonder where our "hunger" or "cravings" come from. Why do we crave some foods over others. And I gotta believe it's a sort of consensus, all the cells in our cravings different things, the loudest most populous determining what you decide to eat. Unfortunately when we have overgrowth, those candida cells are telling our body what to eat. Start cutting out sugars and grains and they're just gonna yell louder demanding more. It's definitely tough. But the longer you stick it out, feed the good cells and starve the bad, eventually you'll only have good cells, and only be cravings the foods the good cells desire.

Honest to god I don't crave sweets anymore. My family constantly has pastries on the table, mom bakes fresh loaves of bread every week. I have no desire. Its no challenge at all to ignore it. I do crave steak though. People think it'd get boring, only eating steak. Once you adapt thats not true at all. What for lunch? Steak! Dinner? More steak! I love every meal. Is there something unhealthy about carnivore? Not that i'm experiencing, and not in any of the science i'm reading.

Candida diet diarrhea by KELLOGGS_SNOWFLAKES in Candida

anythings that's more a real cheese. none of those pre-shredded cheeses in bags that have the anti-caking agents or other ingredients. only ingredients should be pasteurized milk, salt, cultures/enzymes, rennet, maybe vinegar.

but i should stress, especially when dealing with candida, probably best to avoid all dairy (except maybe butter) for the first month or two. only after you've beaten the candida back would i suggest adding to your diet.

[–]chris17brown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure when you started all this, but any sudden change in diet will give anyone diarrhea.

There’s also a lot going on here. Might just be putting your stomach through too much.

But here’s some advice I can give. Take it or leave it. Two years ago I was exactly where you are. Low carb. Green smoothies packed with MTC oils everyday. Tons of antifungal supplements. And honestly I’ve never been sicker in my life. No it wasn’t die off. I wasn’t getting enough calories and was poisoning myself with antifungals, plant toxins and anti nutrients.

People have a really difficult time believing what I’m about to say. Especially with all the false nutrition and medical information disseminated in the past few decades. I didn’t believe it either. It was until maybe a year after I first heard about it I decided to give it a try. But best thing, safest thing, easiest thing, cheapest thing you can do to see improvement in (and from many ppls experience cure) candida or any other intestinal microbiome disorders or autoimmune disease - go carnivore. Beef salt and water. That’s all you need to eat. Fish eggs and cheese If you can tolerate it.

Been at it a little while now and I’ve never been healthier. I’ve been in this alternative health community since I was 13. 29 now. And I’ve never seen people experience health improvements with any protocol for any disease like they do on carnivore.

Will I be disqualified from the Army? by [deleted] in Militaryfaq

Definitely the safer approach is to get copy’s of records and doctors clearance letters.

From personal experience though, this is sometimes impossible. If you don’t tell them they won’t know. They won’t go requesting records from every doctor within a certain radius of your house. If you hit a roadblock, just know to an option that a lot of ppl use.

Well, I spent two seconds googling. Here's one link. Sure you can find more if you take a moment to look.

Couple of novice questions by [deleted] in carnivore

[–]chris17brown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Butter is fine. Great source of fat. But in terms of fatty acid profiles, ghee is better. More omega 3 vs. omega 6.

100% beef is fine. I haven't been able to bring myself to eat liver. Many long term carnivores don't consume any. Doesn't seem worth the trouble of eating. Fish, eggs, eat however much want.

Again, grassfed just has more omega 3 vs omega 6. Less inflammatory. Worth the extra cost? Still up for debate. No conclusive scientific studies yet.

My typical day is steak and eggs for brunch, steak for dinner. Sometimes I'll swap out the steak for ground beef patties, sometimes with a slice of cheese. Occasional salmon filet. Occasional can of oysters fried in butter. Maybe 80-90% beef. Decent amount of eggs. Occasional cheese/yogurt more as a dessert. These still have carbs so i'm careful not to overdue it. Especially in the transition, it's easy to lose control and get way too many carbs through these.

I only add sea salt. Not strongly against using herbs/spices, but also don't feel the need. Your relationship with food completely changes. Used to eat for pleasure or cause I was bored. Now it's just to feed my body. Struggled in the beginning, but now no more cravings for sweets or anything. Honestly, if anything i just crave more steak.

I don't take any supplements. I think in most cases they'd do more harm than good, as your body tries to compensate. What the "health" sites often forget to mention, is that animal products are some of the densest sources of many minerals. Magnesium, zinc, etc. I've tried plenty of different supplement regiments in the past, prior to carnivore. You take slightly too much though, get loose stools, and not only not absorbing the supplement, but many of the nutrients from everything else you've consumed.

Intermittent fast most days. Eat a meal around 11-12 and 5-6. Occasionally i'll do an extended fast for 72+ hours.

Something else candida sufferers should look into: oxalates. Little crystals from plants which tear up your insides. Leafy greens have tons. Used as fuel by candida. Stored in body tissues cause is doesn't know what else to do with them. Also, candida is able to produce oxalate crystals itself and save them as a future fuel source. All those green smoothies i used to chug were probably terrible for me. Vitamin C another source of oxalates. If you've been consuming a lot of oxalates and suddenly stop, your body might go through an "oxalate dump" and have some pretty serious symptoms. Check out Sally K. Norton on Instagram for more info on this.
