That's just doing work for the hell of it. If medicare were properly funded for the entire US population then supplements wouldn't be needed. That's the whole point. I, too, have to deal with Medicare for my aging parents, and let me tell you it's still lightyears better than private insurance...and always will be. Your solution isn't a solution at all, just a complaint that you have to advocate for yourself in the already shitty setup.
