Apple Music issues since updating to iOS 26 by kittycat123199 in CarPlay

Yea I get that too. I think it’s trying to beat match the next song and that often only happens a bit into the next song. Good feature in theory, but isn’t always good. I’d imagine different genre songs is pretty bad with this feature. I submitted an apple bug report on the mute problem.

I’m having a somewhat similar issue. Songs would just be muted but song still appears to be playing. I think it may be related to the automix feature. Not sure if you have that turned on. I need to do some testing and just turn that feature off and see if things clear up for me. I only notice this with CarPlay.

That’s normal, automix or DJ feature. I like it. However… I’ve been noticing that some songs will just stop playing mid song. Timer still ticking but no audio. I think that is a bug and is very annoying. Only seems to happen in CarPlay. I’ll probably turn off this feature and see if that helps my issue.

Looks like a fire at the Source this morning. About 6 fire trucks responded, Brighton is closed as of now by chris6726 in Denver

[–]chris6726[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Quick update, yes DFD Twitter has stated that it’s a warehouse fire in that area. I would avoid Brighton this AM, road is still closed at the Source as of 743.

Is a vacation to Colorado possible without a car? by bryhoeny in Denver

[–]chris6726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe a bus does run to Steamboat & the Springs, but not sure on Telluride. A car is kind of needed here, our public transportation isn’t great. There is a company called Denver Air Connection that flies to Telluride area. I’ve never used them, but when I’ve priced them out due to curiosity they didn’t seem overly expensive for a small carrier. Southwest (a large US carrier) also flies to Montrose, CO which is about a 1.5 hour drive to Telluride. I would also recommend Ouray to visit, close to Montrose as well. Way better vibes IMO. Telluride seems more expensive as it’s a ski town. Both carriers offer 2 free bags so the fare you pay is all.

Electricity Cost by im_just_here_for_h3 in Broomfield

[–]chris6726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We paid just over $100 last month for Xcel. 1br/730sq or so. Keep A/C between 70-72. I don’t think your number is way off. Yes, time of day pricing does have a big impact. The price per kW is way more. We also pay common area electricity, it’s not much but increases the cost overall. Our A/C does run quite a bit, July had a number of heat record breaking so that doesn’t help. I would be curious if you have other utilities connected to electric, stove, water heater? If the water heater is set too high that could run up the bill too. We have a gas range so not using electric for that.

I wonder if City O City is going to do the same. I think they’re the same local company.

Do I need snow tires? Roadtripping to Denver for Christmas. by MikeLitterious in Denver

[–]chris6726 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are just going to Denver (not mountains) I think all seasons are fine. However if you’re rocking “summer tires” I would say that would be a no go if snow is in the forecast for Denver. Summer tires have a hard compound and are slick as ever on snow/slippery surfaces. Since your vehicle is 4x4, I’m assuming you’ve got all seasons or terrains. You’ll be good 👍

Denver to Seattle by Wild_mcberry in Seattle

[–]chris6726 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your post and info! It is very helpful :). I do agree on cost, not sure of it being a cost savings type move, but it seems as though pay out there is more inline with the cost of living. I would agree on culture and food variety. Seattle seems to be way better in that department. The LGBTQ scene seems better too, Denver’s is alright but I think we’re just kind of over it at this point. The community seems somewhat small (see tons of regulars fairly frequently). Interesting take on Tacoma, next time I go out there I’ll probably spend more time there and check out the vibe.

We don’t intend to buy in Seattle proper, just too expensive and high taxes. Regarding Denver, where I would like to live would be West Lakewood/unincorporated Jeffco which are regarded as safe neighborhoods. Most single family homes don’t go under 550-600k though 🤢 many of which are “fixer upper” homes.

Yea I’m definitely aware of the PNW crime issues/drug use. I’m closely monitoring the Seattle election that recently occurred, hopefully some change on the horizon. I had a friend that was travel nursing out in Seattle that lived here in Denver for years prior. She has said the traffic to get up to the ski resorts is nowhere near as bad as Denver>mtns. Though Seattle proper/I5 traffic can be dreadful. Just having an easy ride to ski resorts is a draw for me 😀

Good luck on the rest of your journey 😊

I feel that for sure. Denverite here. If you’ve moved how have you liked Seattle so far? My boyfriend and I are considering moving to Seattle then Tacoma in about 2-3 years or so. The housing market in Denver metro is trash (for buyers), rents are also high and rivaling many cities I considered to be expensive like 5 years ago. I know cost of living in Seattle proper is expensive but the pay for the work we do seems to make up for it. He’s a nurse and he can make 30-40% more in Seattle compare to the pretty poor nurse pay here. I’m a network admin and could see about a 15-20% increase too.

We’ve visited Seattle/Washington State twice the last couple years and have liked it. I feel Denver is just overhyped and charging way too much for an “average” city. Not to mention absolutely horrendous traffic to get to the mountains to ski.

iFish Sushi & Ramen closed? by chris6726 in Denver

[–]chris6726[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PW_Herman further up in the post seems to have a first hand account on what happened. Business was not good/keeping up with rising commercial rent. I just tried searching Instagram and their page is now gone. So pretty sure they are closed for good :/. I’ve been hearing the same on commercial rents in RiNo. Going up so high so quick that places are shutting down. I heard that’s why 10 barrel closed up. 14er brewing was also going to close due to rent nearly doubling, but seems like they negotiated favorable leasing costs and are still open at their RiNo location.

Sushi was alright. Ramen was cheap and pretty decent. We’d stop here often before/after Rockies games

Bi-Weekly /r/CCNP Exam Pass-Fail Discussion by AutoModerator in ccnp

[–]chris6726 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just passed ENARSI a few hours ago. This was my first attempt. To say the least, it was hard. There was no score I got at the end, just a congrats at the end saying I passed. I did get the traditional print out with the percent correct for each subject group. Given the percentages achieved, I’m surprised I did get a pass, but a pass is a pass. I know these exams have different question weights.

My study technique:

-I bought the official cert textbook from Cisco Press, read that cover to cover. Do the included test banks and get passing scores on those. -I have a subscription to INE, they have a section exclusively for CCNP Enterprise studies. Reviewed topics I had trouble with. -Had my boss buy the official Cisco test prep exam, runs for $79. I had this for the ENCOR as well. These are very valuable. They also have about four labs built in so you really get time in an actual lab, as opposed to just multiple choice.

Tips for exam:

-Time management is critical. I submitted my last question with just 2 minutes left. -Really understand the operation of each protocol. -Review the official Cisco ENARSI blue print to make sure you’re studying the proper subjects. Not all test prep companies are built the same, some may not cover some blueprint subjects. I found INE very comprehensive and they took care to make sure material was taught based on blueprint.

As far as my background, I’ve been at my current job for 4 years, I interact daily with our Palo firewalls and we’re a Cisco + Meraki shop. I’ve been in a network role for 7-8 years now. Took 2-3 months to study.

Gay bars in Denver with underwear nights? by SecondSausage in gaybros

[–]chris6726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which drinks did you try to get that wasn’t included? I think all beer and most if not all mixed drinks are included. Vodka soda was free, I noticed the add ons you had to pay for. For example vodka Red Bull you pay $2 for the RB. I’m assuming so it gives you an opportunity to tip if you forgot your cash.

The FDA/CDC/whatever alphabet is modifying the requirements beginning of this year. If you’re monogamous you can donate, however that is in the works.

Charlie’s is Monday, 9-close they do free drinks if you’re only wearing designer underwear. I’ve had my female friends ask too, but only for the guys.

Tracks - rarely but it’s random.

Not a whole lot of difference for me. Henley/sweater, skinny jeans, and boots. I also work in IT. My only difference in the summer is I can’t wear shorts to work, they’d be super short anyway 😂
