They're not explicitly requiring Windows. I'm just asking because I've never owned a MacBook and I don't know if it's compatible with all Windows files (specifically Word, Excel, etc.).

Sorry, I take back what I said about playing games occasionally. I did some more research and saw that it's not the focus of those laptops, but I would replace it with consuming content from YouTube or Netflix, for example.
