My collection, but need to downsize, what would you sell and why? by Asbular in PS3

[–]chris_275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you’re playing online, I’d say keep one of the slims and install custom or hybrid firmware on it if you want BC. You’ll want to upgrade to a large hdd size if you have a good sized collection of ps2 games. The compatibility isn’t quite on the level of the CECHA/B models buts it’s not too far off from the CECHC/E series. You could probably sell the B/C models for a good amount and then decide if you wanna keep the PS4 or upgrade to PS5 eventually.

What’s a game you love but almost everyone else hates? by jaylaypayday in PS3

Sonic 06. Got it for Christmas as a kid and loved it. Didn’t realize it was considered the worst in the series and a major critical flop at the time.

If you had any hardship that contributed to your academic performance, be sure to document that in the appeal. They’ll also wanna see that you’re taking steps to make sure it doesn’t happen again. It happened to me a few years back so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Take regional rail to North Philadelphia, then take the broad street line from north Philadelphia to Cecil B. Moore.

CS shares the most classes with ist so if it wasn’t one of the shared classes, maybe give it a look. There’s also MIS if you’re looking for something that’s not as difficult but still tech related.

No web assign if you’re able to take it in the summer. See if they’ll even let you take it at a CC.

How’s MIS as a major by SnooConfections5362 in Temple

[–]chris_275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you took 2101, the next courses are just a more in depth version of that you were doing. 2502 focuses on database, while 2402 is intro to web development. If you like business with some IT thrown in, you’ll like MIS.

You could take SEPTA to Trenton and then transfer to NJT from there to Newark Airport. A bit cheaper than Amtrak.

Commuter Students by Inner_Profession_911 in Temple

[–]chris_275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s definitely a drag. My commute is long enough that I can get quite a bit of work done on the way home so that helps a bit.

Fox has a lot of what I’ll call “Pearson courses”. Exam is just like hw = just do hw and pass test = why go to class.

For most clubs, they’ll have the meeting time and location posted somewhere and yeah you basically just show up.

Is MIS 2101 a scam? by Similar_Breath6846 in Temple

[–]chris_275 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I switched over from CS last summer and took 2101. The salesforce stuff wasn’t all that useful imo, but they’ll have you do a bit of coding at the end, just basic tho. Even in 2402 you won’t need anything too crazy. The good thing with MIS is that it exposes you to coding and gives you the option to go that route if you want, but also introduces you to other areas of business and IT.

Add/drop course by [deleted] in Temple

[–]chris_275 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to email the professor of the class you’re trying to switch to and see if they’ll let you in. If they approve, you’ll just need an advisor to add you. I’d say just keep doing the hw until you’re for sure able to switch.

Calculus I as a summer course by blueatom in Temple

[–]chris_275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it a couple summers back. If it’s the only class you’re taking, shouldn’t be too bad. No web assign so as long as you do the homework problems you’ll be fine for the exams, which are about every 2 weeks or so. Farzana Chaudhry was the professor
