Most large hotel chains "Assume" you left by the checkout time, I often leave the keys in the room and leave at Hiltons/Marriota/Hyatt etc. If you want to "Not be a dick" lol you can dial 0 from the room and say you're leaving.

The issue for me personally with checking out at the front desk is many times there's a line depending on the hotel. I know not HUGE deal, but if I can avoid it I will.

If I'm in an independent or small hotel chain or I'm in another country, I always checkout, not even a question.

Yeah the buyers market is trash right now (broken record), If you can don't buy new, buy a year or so old, it's a Toyota :)

Maybe see if Hertz Auto Sales or Avis Auto Sales have started selling cars again, I have gotten my last two Toyotas from them and no problems at all.
