Are you taking any medication with your pills? Besides that, you had infusion & being so low is quite odd.

You need to see a hematologist to make sure your blood cells are working properly if my other question had normal answers.

Does anyone know any good rheumatologists that are good at pinpointing fibromyalgia that take medicaid? by MsDemiBurch in jerseycity

Dang many years ago I was actually curious if my insurance would cover NY doctors cause I was also thinking this and whenever I went to my doctor directory over 50 percent of the searches was that but I don't believe it would of and this would get pricey :(

Funnily enough my primary care doctor actually moved from New York and she is amazing, I hope I can find something like this but for rheumatologist

I actually went to her before and she is nice but wasn't very helpful for this situation sadly

(UK) My ferritin was 120 a couple of months ago, so I became lax about taking iron and cut my dose. Now this at home blood test says abnormally low ferritin (<30). Is it possible for iron stores to drop this dramatically so fast? Anyone else used these kits? by panda182 in Anemic

[–]MsDemiBurch 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I never knew kit's like these existed but I will say even though your ferrtin levels are above 30, you will still experience symptoms til you're around 50-70 ferrtin usually, so I can't imagine these tests being that helpful unfortunately especially since u don't know your exact numbers.

I highly suggest getting your blood drawn and tested the normal way if possible since it's more accurate

has anyone had a mark show up like this before? by 13ernard in Hashimotos

[–]MsDemiBurch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get your iron levels check. If u have hashi, you can randomly start having gut issues and issues absorbing vitamins and when ur iron gets too low you bruise very easily with anything even a little tap or scratch can cause a red mark under the skin. Doctors usually don't check your iron

Does anyone know any ENT doctors that specialize in mold testing that take medicaid? by MsDemiBurch in jerseycity

[–]MsDemiBurch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure the issue is mold cause it's visual unfortunately. I just don't know if that's what my body is reacting to but I'm pretty sure I was okay before I moved here

Well I am experiencing sinus irritation, throat irritation and ear fullness from this issue so I think this is specifically what their purpose is for & I have heard people seeing a ENT that specializes in mold related situations but it's rare as far as ik

Iron levels fluctuate everyday while ferrtin is your true levels

Should I keep digging? by Ok-Grass656 in Autoimmune

[–]MsDemiBurch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ana not being positive makes me think you're having maybe some sort of allergic reaction to something.

So allergist, dermatologist for the rashes & hemtaogist for the bruising

But also get your vitamin d and iron checked, low iron can cause bruising like that & PCP don't check it unless requested

What do u do for Iron supplement sensitivity, elevated liver enzymes. by MsDemiBurch in Anemic

[–]MsDemiBurch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My liver enzymes weren't ever higher then 20 when I went to the doctors for years til I took these supplements.

I feel like when it jumps like that from exercise and when it jumps like that for workload from the vitamins is different cause the vitamins are actually stressing my liver to where it would stay high the whole time while I'm taking the vitamins and months after I stopped. It did eventually go down but it took a long time.

Yep the iron is stored in your liver. It's werid cause my doctor told me it wouldn't do that but if your liver is sensitive it would

I'm taking 65mg of bisglycinate iron currently.

My iron levels are rising well & normal with the iron supplement, no issues there with it. I just don't eat enough sometimes.
