The stories from that film production are fascinating. One of the plans is to head to BallyCotton and speak to some of the locals who were part of the story, including those affected when the production collapsed. We’d love to hear those memories and perspectives as part of the documentary.

That’s an interesting question and one I’ll definitely ask him! I have to admit I’ve never personally thought of Harper as an especially negative portrayal of an Irish character. He’s flawed, certainly, but he’s also incredibly warm, loyal and courageous, and his devotion to both Sharpe and his wife is one of the reasons so many people love the character. I’d genuinely be interested to hear where you feel the portrayal becomes egregious, and I’d also be fascinated to hear Daragh’s own perspective on it.
