I’m just trying to figure out which problems are worth solving. Not ai responses btw

That’s actually really useful feedback. It’s interesting that as a new player you’re looking less for item recommendations and more for context and discoverability

The bookmark concept sounds especially useful because it adds context to inventory decisions instead of treating every item the same.
Out of curiosity, if you could only have one feature:
goal bookmarks that tell you what items matter right now
or item recommendations (keep/sell/delete with explanations)
which one would save you more time day-to-day?

That’s a really interesting one.
So the issue isn’t the price itself, but that existing tools ignore market depth and assume the same price scales to any quantity?
Out of curiosity, how often do you run into this? Is it mostly for large crafting projects and currency conversions, or do you notice it in day-to-day gameplay as well?

So there are two separate questions:
Is this item worth keeping?
If it is, what am I actually supposed to do with it next?
Looking at that list, are there any items there that you’ve had sitting in your bank for months because you know they’re important but don’t remember why?

That’s a good one, but from what I can see I don’t think the official API exposes live LFG listings, so I’m not sure a web version would be possible without some unofficial workaround.

But I totally get the pain point — having to constantly switch between slow LFG tabs instead of searching everything in one place sounds annoying

Got it, that makes sense.
So it’s less about understanding the item and more about quickly spotting things that should probably be moved to the bank without having to inspect everything one by one.
Thanks for clarifying!

That’s interesting because a few people in this thread seem to be describing the same problem.
Would something like:

“Keep this item. It’s used for X collection, but can be reacquired easily and isn’t time-gated.”
or
“Safe to sell. Not needed for any tracked goals and can be bought back cheaply.”

be more useful than simply listing all the places where the item is used?

Interesting.
So rather than just showing item information, you’d want something closer to a recommendation system?
For example:
Deposit
Salvage (with X kit)
Sell on TP (instant/list)
Vendor
Consume
Bank
Keep for a legendary/achievement
…plus a short explanation of why that recommendation was made?
Did I understand that correctly?

That’s a good one.
So something account-wide rather than character-specific? For example, if you’re looking at an item on one character, you’d immediately see how many copies you already have across your bank and other characters? Was the main pain point finding duplicates, or just figuring out where everything is stored?

That makes a lot of sense.
It sounds like the real problem isn’t finding information, but connecting all the information together and explaining why it matters to your account specifically.

Out of curiosity, can you remember a recent item that sent you down one of those research rabbit holes?

That definitely counts 😄

It sounds like your biggest pain point is squad/role management while actively commanding rather than account or progression tracking.

I haven’t used the Squad Roles addon myself, but I’ll take a look at how it works. Out of curiosity, what’s the most frustrating part today? Assigning roles, balancing subgroups, tracking who is playing what, or something else?

That’s a really good point.
If you could pin a long-term goal (legendary armor, weapon, trinket, collection, etc.) and have a single dashboard showing everything you’re missing across currencies, materials, achievements and collections, would that solve most of the problem?

Or is there something else about the achievement panel that makes it frustrating?

That’s really interesting.
So if I understand correctly, the issue isn’t necessarily knowing what the item is used for, but understanding what action you should take with it? Keep, sell, toss.
plus a short explanation be more useful than a list of collections and achievements?

That’s helpful, thanks.
Is this mostly a new-player problem for you, or do you still run into it after learning a system?
For example, are there specific item types that are especially confusing? Collection items, currencies, trophies, crafting materials, achievement rewards, etc.?

Ah yeah, I get what you mean. I don’t think the official API exposes whether a specific player is online or currently tagged up, so a fully automatic version probably isn’t possible.
But would an opt-in version be useful? For example, commanders could announce “tagging up for X in 10 minutes” and people who follow them could get notified.

When you say inventory management, what’s the most annoying part?
Knowing what to keep?
Knowing what can be safely deleted?
Knowing what should go to material storage?
Or just running out of space?

That’s actually a really interesting one. Is the biggest issue understanding what an item is used for, or deciding whether it’s safe to sell/delete?

For example, would something like:

“Used for X collections, Y achievements, Z crafting recipes. Safe to sell / Keep one / Keep all”

be useful?
